The undercarriage and engine compartment was sanded and seam sealed.

Brian taped the body so we can epoxy prime the interior, inside the trunk and undercarriage.
We need to scuff the undercarriage first before the epoxy. After the epoxy the next step will be to spray the Lizard Skin. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...pssbpd7fe4.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...pszndfdcan.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...psgxjmoxnn.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...psqsorotmz.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...psdic9borl.jpg |
I always like this stage of a project... it kind of indicates you're only a few steps away from putting things back together.

Not sure what these bodies cost -- but 600 hours of prep / repair -- to make the body perfect seems like a pretty decent deal to me. At least you know what you're getting! How many people have bought complete - nice looking cars and then found a nightmare under the shiny paint... |

Been following this build too ... your work ethics are great! I have some SPI epoxy that I need to get sprayed real soon ... need to borrow a rotisserie to get access to the bottom.
Looking good fer sure! You putting Lizard Skin on the underside of the car or the inside? Michael |
