It was there last night. Pam (my sister) drove it to work and then to Beaches. Rudy says they've put 300 miles on it since Sunday.

My '32 spent that many miles on a rollback...

Really though --- for the guys that don't have one --- it's a handy damn tool for so many things because it reads in any position.

Great job, and I am always impressed with what you can do.

After you build a few... you manage to gain some basic skills. :unibrow: To me -- more impressive builds are guys like Jason (WAR) that manage to do SEMA quality stuff their very first time around!


I will also say this for the benefit of the PROFESSIONAL SHOPS:


Until you've actually done the work yourself (the client) - it's very hard to understand why a pro shop charges the amount of hours it takes to build this stuff. But if you've done the actual work - then you finally get it. Doing stuff RIGHT takes time... it takes an investment in tools... and the skills to use them require time and commitment and that doesn't come in the form of cheap labor.

When managing and posting up pics (a cumbersome experience at best!) I sometimes have to laugh at what I "see" in the pics... such as the upside-down degree tool (It's so smart it doesn't care!)... or the scribble on the paper taped to the floor... or how 'bout the "notes" on cans.

Here's the deal with a "home builder"... I don't TIG daily - I don't run my milling machine very often - I don't paint something but maybe a couple times a year. I know myself and I know that I can't remember all the details! Hell - I can't even remember the firing order of a SBC - something I've owned and built and raced for 40 years!
