You know I like your style Mr Dead Cat.

What are the dimensions of that tank (when you get a chance)?

Can't wait to see this one come together!

"this is ****ing awesome!"

Please ensure you leave enough room for the sound system to play this on continuous loop. Never heard it before but...

Tank

is pretty big....22 inches by 9 inches. Although they call them a 5 gallon tank(total volume), you normally run about 3 gallons in them.

Hey Payton,

This is going to be a wicked ride. If you are through Atlanta again, give me a holler.

Me too! One of my favorites! There are two versions and one does stink, but the one where he blows up the bad guys, that's the the good one.

Very nice work

If you don't mind can I ask what size rect. tubing did you use for the the frame rails and the round supports?

I can tell just by looking at the tubing its 2x4 tubing, looks like Jake snuck a piece of 3x4 in there where the core support bolts on,and 2x3 for the trans crossmember. Don't know for sure, but looks like 1 3/4" round tubing on the center there. I'm running the same front clip on the AMX I'm building.

I really like the minimal nature of Jake's frame, keeps the weight down knowing that there will be alot of cage work holding it all together. Loving this build so far.

Payton King 04-09-2013 06:14 AM

Ron is correct

The 2x3 for the torque arm crossmember was done like that so when I run 3 inch exhaust it will not hang below the frame...Jake's idea

Another thrift shop purchase

Magnesium Quarter Master bell housing, flywheel, Tilton tri-lite throw out bearing, Quarter Master 7.25 triple disc clutch and billet starter....$500 for all.

I must have gotten drunk and missed this thread! WTF.....

Love the direction Payton!

This is gonna be fun! And I like Swartz's (did I get that spelling right?) comment about cheap = fun.... Every time I see the Mustang I bought from Charley -- I think -- Dude! That's the most fun in the shed - and also the cheapest!
