Good Morning All,

It's on the Ground and i am pumped.
The ride height is dead on and it's low.

This is what the truck looked like when i arrived at 7:30am.
I have a bunch of work to do by 10am when Bob get's here.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._06_24_002.jpg

Fist thing to do was install the New 14" Rear Brakes from Precision Brakes.
They did a great job on the kit.
What's scarry is they no longer look big to me.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._06_24_004.jpg

Back View of the mounting brackets.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._06_24_005.jpg

The Brakes look better now that they are 14" vs. 13" that were originally on the truck.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._06_24_030.jpg

Installed the new Grille - looks much better then the White Mock Up Grille.

syborg tt 06-25-2006 08:32 AM

This kinda of Gives you an Idea what Bob Thrash came up with for the Exhaust Exit.
More to come later i promise.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._06_24_029.jpg

Yep it was on the Ground by 10am and it's low. This is ride height so it can go 4" lower when aired out.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._06_24_016.jpg

You can see there is plenty of clearence to drive it on the road.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._06_24_019.jpg

Just your token rear end shot.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._06_24_020.jpg

Side View but that's pretty obvious

I want to Thank Paul from Paul's Select for getting me my fiberglass front Cover for this Project.
The fit was perfect.

Thanks guy's - I'm just happy people are still looking at this thread.

drmrman 06-25-2006 06:03 PM

The only question I have is... Are those rotors on backwards... isnt the drilled and slotted grooves supposed to be facing the other way?

Joe

black2002ls 06-25-2006 06:26 PM

it looks awesome. Stance, wheels, everything. The front cover looks a little odd to me. But once its in paint I'm sure it will look great!!!

okay - so i wasn't paying attention when i put them on. Yep i was thrashing to get the entire suspension on in only 2 hours. My goal was to just get it on the ground and it looks like i cut some corners. The good news is that i put the calipers on in the correct orientation.

Worked on the front bumper cover this weekend.

Had to modify the mounting tabs to work with a stock steel support.

Step one - Make sure you are wearing the proper safety glasses

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._07_02_007.jpg

Step two - Carefully remove all of the mounting tabs

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._07_02_004.jpg

Step Three - Take them to the grinder and reduce there size.
A long sleeve shirt may have prevented my forearms from itching so darn bad.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._07_02_008.jpg

Step Four - Glass all the tabs back on.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._07_02_011.jpg

Step Five - Drill the new holes

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._07_04_006.jpg

syborg tt 07-05-2006 12:25 PM

Step Six - Run to local Sears and buy Stainless Steel bolts (did i mention i lost the original bolts)

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._07_04_008.jpg

In the end it's mounted and it only took about 4 hours if you include the trip to Sears Hardware and the trips to the slop sink to wash my arms because they itched so badly.

Sales@Dutchboys 07-05-2006 12:37 PM

FUN STUFF!!!!!

black2002ls 07-06-2006 05:08 AM

I spent about two hours cleaning my garage shop in order to bring more parts home so when the time comes to test fit everything it's all in one place.

What really sucks is i started cleaning because i can't find any of my tailgate hardware that i bought and without the hardware i can't install the relocate handle.

Happy Sunday,

Dave was able to squeeze in a bunch of work this week.
He was able to get both front and rear bumpers mounted.
He came up with a pretty cool way to mount the bumpers and make adjust much easier.

Here is the mount for the front cover

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._07_22_003.jpg

Plenty of adjustment up down so we should be able to nail the alignment perfectly.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._07_22_006.jpg

Finished Product

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._07_22_028.jpg

Since were on the front end - Dave Finished the steering shaft.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._07_22_029.jpg

syborg tt 07-23-2006 08:52 PM

Moving back to the rear end.
This is the beginning of the rear bumper mounting.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._07_22_007.jpg

Plenty of adjustments with this mount

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._07_22_008.jpg

Just a quick side view

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._07_22_009.jpg

Dave mounted the engine oil cooler on the Drivers Side.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._07_22_012.jpg

syborg tt 07-23-2006 08:53 PM

Okay rear cover view.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._07_22_016.jpg

Here are the plans for the end of the truck.
Remake the rear cover out of steel and incorporate the rear belly pan

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._07_22_018.jpg

underside view.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._07_22_019.jpg

syborg tt 07-23-2006 08:54 PM

Had some extra time today so i decided to roll the inner fender lip.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._07_22_023.jpg

Action Shot

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._07_22_022.jpg

Really bad picture - but you get the idea.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._07_22_021.jpg

That's it for this week.

Payton King 07-24-2006 11:14 AM

That is a neat tool...

where did you get it?

black2002ls 07-25-2006 07:33 PM

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._08_04_007.jpg

The second filter is the 10 Micron Filter just to get out the really small stuff

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._08_04_009.jpg

Mounted a Bulkhead at the back of the Cab so we can remove the cab
and not have to worry about the lines that are mounted to the frame.

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._08_04_010.jpg

Just a quick look up at the underside

http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._08_04_013.jpg

That's all for this week.
I may have to take a week off so we can figure out where the 57 Chevy is going.
Just need to figure out who, where and when. My Choice are Kenny Davis Hot Rods, Pinkee's or Rad Rides.

black2002ls 08-09-2006 06:18 AM
