Hey guys, you know how sometimes there's a certain thread that has several pages and is a very interesting one at that and you wonder how in the hell you missed it? :wow: Well, this is that thread. I guess I've been overlooking it and don't see how. This is one sick build. :hail: Which I wouldn't expect anything less from Ironworks. This is an insane Nova!!! Subscribing now. Late, but subscribing. LOL!!

Where are the updates?

ironworks 06-16-2010 03:58 PM

Eric has been kind enough and busy enough at work to allow us to work on some of the other pressing projects we have going on. Things are busier in the the shop then they might have ever been in the past. I have hired some new guys in the past few months and I'm working to get them up to speed. I have some guy from Northern California and another from North Carolina that are looking to try out for a job here, we shall see how these new guys work out.

HWY Nova 06-16-2010 05:02 PM

I do have a few pics to post! Hopefully I can post them tonight.

Hey, Darrell. I need to get back on the control arm designs. I have been totally swamped with other (little) projects...... like a Tri-Five chassis, and a Chevelle chassis, and........ the rest is a secret.

Just been doing some research on tranaxles and come accross your car.I was blown away with the the detail of your project.
Iam an engineering student from Perth, Western Australia.
Iam learning solid works (2010) and was looking for some models of transaxles so I could do some design work to fit one to my 1957 Holden Panel van as a solidworks project for uni.
If you have some models of the rear end that I could go over and look at in detail to give me some ideas on how to mount that would be very helpful. Size and dementions of the transaxle.
Hopefully once I finsh uni (2 years ) I can start to build it
cheers

You have to be a member of SEMA to get the files. When you get the files from SEMA they mandate that you don't share the files. Sorry I'm of no help. But Maybe SEMA can help.

Tim,

Rodger (Ironworks) located a transaxle, transmission, and a torque tube for me early on in the build, so I could actually take measurements from the components.

Is there any updates for this car? it's been almost 2 years without an update....????

HWY Nova 03-27-2012 05:31 PM

There has been some recent progress. Ironworks is finishing up the front and rear control arms. Once these are done, and I borrow some shop wheels and tires (rumor has it there are some Intros available), I could put the car on the ground. Its been awhile since rubber touched the ground.

I have a couple of weddings to get through this year (Kids!).
