Nick, the filler panel for the raised bed floor looks awesome and the finished edge looks perfect! Did you use a bead roller for the debossed areas in the panel? Really liking the new front crossmembers too. Been following your thread from the beginning and can't wait to see more.

syborg tt 12-18-2010 09:32 PM

OMG - those brakes are huge

frankv11 12-19-2010 12:35 AM

ground braking stuff

you got skills keep it up

GMracer 12-19-2010 06:24 AM

Yep, used a cheap-o HF beadroller I mounted to a stand. This is the first piece I tried and plan to use it through-out my build.
Marty I know right! haha
Thanks guys!!

Congratulations, I've been dealing with family issues in business the last 10 years and it's no fun. It appears you've found appropriate "therapy" in this impressive build project which showcases the amount of talent you possess. Keep it up!

Much better design, got some water jet work coming up for rear crossmember to allow exhaust through and transmission mount. Stay tuned

GMracer 02-20-2011 08:37 AM

thanks guys, and thanks to roadster shop for some inspiration for the trans mount

pmgm 03-06-2011 06:53 PM

Wow... Nice build.... Your frame looks amazing.......

GMracer 03-14-2011 07:50 PM

Chassis done, minus small brackets. But the rear is complete. Disregard the lower link bars. I used old bushings and angle iron as temporary lower bars to allow travel and location.

I get about 7.5" of lift out back limited by the shock alone
Bags sit up inside the frame now, better design and leaves more room for the exhaust coming over the axle.
The recess in the frame shaped like the upper link mount is to allow added clearance for the upper link bolt.

thanks guys!

417 Motorsports 03-16-2011 07:52 PM

that pic lookin down on the rear suspension is MONEY!!!! I love it! The ONLY thing i think i would have changed since you were this far in is gave the front wheels more offset and moved all the suspension in some to keep the same geometry, but what you have done with the whole project is awesome and you have done a tremendous job!!! Keep it up man

Blake

Cris@JCG 03-16-2011 09:19 PM

68RS350 03-17-2011 04:36 AM

truck looks awesome! What did you use to smooth the corners around your rear bad pockets you made in the frame?

Tony@AirRideTech 03-17-2011 01:09 PM
