randy 07-27-2015 06:04 PM

why don't you flip the fuel rail so its closer to the fuel supply on the passenger side?

not to thread-jack but can you still put a fuel pressure gauge on the schrader valve when you flip the rail?

I have the fuel line hardlined down the driver side of the car. The fuel regulator was going to be too close to the exhaust in the pass side.

In the picture it looks like you have the older Russell fuel rail fitting with the plastic clip. Get rid of that thing ASAP before it burns your whole car down.

Andrew

Do they leak? Tested everything and no fuel leaks

n77nxc 08-08-2015 07:59 AM

Been reported they do leak. Russel switched to the screw in retainer after reports the plastic clips were failing.

They have been known to burn cars down to the ground. No joke. The new Russell fitting is good and Earl's also makes a nice one with metal clips and an external clip for safety.

where did you put your O2 sensors? in the header extensions or in the headers themselves?

They are threaded into the headers

i thought they had to be at a 45 degree angle? the headers place the sensor horizontal.

Swain 08-09-2015 09:02 PM

Never heard of that they are Ultimate Headers.

Sensors can be anywhere from horizontal to straight up, as long as they are in the top half of the header collector. The reason for this is so that condensation does not pool inside the sensor.

Cars pretty much done besides some cosmetic.

Things that need to be done:
Window regulators rear replaced
Shifter boot
Stereo installed
Charge AC

T,

Well I guess it just took a few times of me spraying a tiny bit of starter fluid and letting it run. Some reason the injectors didnt spray enough fuel to start it. Runs like a champ now. This car hauls I was surprised this LS3 480 had that kind of power

Spiffav8 01-21-2016 01:54 PM

Jay the car looks absolutely sick! Hopefully there will be video before long.
