I hear ya Greg. Until last fall I didn't even have a set place to keep it. It was in a common space garage. (No separation walls) before I sent it to get done. I went in one day and the owner had a couple of 2x6's leaning on the car. I sh*t a brick it was a beat up old car but it was mine. a couple of years later after that The wife and I went out and refinanced the house and got money for a garage. Not quite enough because garages end up like cars way over budget! Now its almost ready for the car, I'm doing some wiring and trying to get it set, at least it will be here with me.

He is extremely good at tuning the factory GM computers.

If you want an expert in FAST and BigStuff3 then I'd recommend Quest Racing. I think if you call the fast tech guys and ask for a tuner in the area they will recommend Mike at Quest. His engine dyno is good for 3000hp+
He is in Worcester MA. I used to work at New England Dyno & Tuning and he was right next door. We had the chassis dyno he had the engine dyno.
Not sure if he is still there.

I just got my XFI back from FAST with the 2.0 and new updates. So that will be ready. I wish I had an engine run stand so I could try it before I put it in the car.
Does a dyno shop run your engine on their engine dyno using your ECU?

Realy hope.. that.. but..

waynieZ 06-03-2011 08:18 AM

Got my fingers crossed!

johnnymac46 06-22-2011 07:35 PM

waynieZ 06-23-2011 07:02 PM

I just read this entire thread. Wayne, its been said many times already but you do have the patients of a saint. And that is a total understatement

Hang in there. Don't let the stress you mentioned undermine the important things in life.
In the end you'll have a fantastic car and will be cruising Ma in style!

waynieZ 06-24-2011 08:18 PM

Nothing back from Mike today.
The wife left at three AM this morning with my brother and sister inlaw driving to FL for a couple of weeks to visit her mother. She left me a honey of a honey do list. I'll do my best to keep the peace.

Hi Greg Your right Nice guys Finnish last. but the end is finally in site. I just got an e mail from Mike, all the panels are done and he's got the bottom ready for final prime. He's going to prime it tomorrow and paint it Monday. Then he'll put the rear in it and panels back on. He's going to get in touch with me Monday to talk about maybe picking it up for the end of the week.

Ron Maybe I need to go hang with Weld for a while !

I'm thinking about putting some Lizard skin for heat reduction on the floors if I can fit it into the budget later on.
That would have been an ideal time to paint my Black/Aqua trunk paint. I'm a little big to be crawling around in the trunk to mask it off. lol I'm going to use the Eastwood trunk kit. Any one used their kit for their car? What did you think of it?

HRBS 06-28-2011 11:14 AM

Thats the only way to do it !
Do it right the first time from the inside out....
Mikes doing a killer job !
Be patient..... good things come to those who wait....... and wait....... and wait.........

KPC67 06-28-2011 11:53 AM

is that a sound/heat deadening undercoating you did that with? or ordinary undercoat?
looks great.

waynieZ 06-28-2011 12:04 PM

Its a regular under coating. I thought about some lizard skin or something similar but didn't want to make anymore changes.

Al Moreno 06-28-2011 12:17 PM

Very nice Wayne, are those current progress shots? If they are, how much longer before Mike is projecting completion.

waynieZ 06-28-2011 01:21 PM

Thanks Al. They are actually older but I just got them. The car is done, accept for a few things left to do. If it all goes well I might get it next week sometime.

70rs 06-28-2011 01:37 PM
