Very true about MDF, has a bit more boom than the sound of fiberglass. I made that comment just because of the weight and it looked out of place next to all of this VERY IMPRESSIVE fab work :D. Then again I managed to fit a 1" MDF box for 2 sealed 12's entirely underneath the package tray of my '72 Nova... it's big & heavy and needs to go away.
EDIT: The torx-head socket screws are a very nice touch and something that people either won't see or won't notice, but goes to show the AWESOME (!!!) attention to detail that this build exemplifies. Keep up the fantastic work! |
That floor looks to good to put carpet down...
|
Gawd that package tray is a beauty. Amazing work.

You give me hope
Jason,
Talent or Gift whatever you want to call it man, you got it in spades!!!! When I get my project and apply my new welding talent, I hope to have 1/16 amount of skill you got! Keep it up!   -Dan |
Maaaaan, I hate this build (not really). It makes me look at my car with disgust and want to go out and spend more money. C'mon...I know I'm not the only one who thinks like this. The fab work on this car is not only flawless, but it is timeless. It belongs in a museam or something. Seriously, these pics need to go into one of those "how-to" textbooks for students wanting to learn fabrication skills or something. :faint: :wow:
|
I will have to add my own "holy sh*t you got skills" post! Truly beautiful work. I thought my abrasives bill was bad for our shop, you must use a couple sanding discs once in a while!?! Leaps and bounds nicer fab work than the trifive you had at sema last year, and that car was NICE!
I will be showing my employees some pics, not to copy just to keep them inspired to keep getting better. |
Thanks guys for all the nice comments. There are alot of very talented people on this site to draw inspiration from.
And yes Tyler, the abrasive bill get high. |
JASON! 10/31/10 ?:_paranoid .... We need a War fix!!!

Wow!, I just read this thread start to finish and all I can say is, "That is some of the most amazing work I've seen." That has got to be very gratifying.

car
This is the really amazing car. I have never seen this type of car before. This is the main dream to get this type of car having us. There are beautiful graphics and beautiful designed this car. This is the fantastic car and we can say it unbelievable and unforgettable car. There are so many functionality having it. This is really amazing.

Dude, come on--how long can you possibly keep showing off here---just bolt the thing together and finish it already----the longer you drag this piece of perfection on the worse we all feel about our crap. Just finish it already. Buy some of Ironworks "Quick Assembly" spray---it hasn't worked on Tyler's car yet, but insiders say it is now working swell.

For some reason, I never stepped into this thread before tonight, but a slow night at work will make you do funny things.
Now I'm pissed that I ever looked in here, because my jealousy level is through the roof. Absolutely incredible metalwork:hail: |

The work done to back seat are nd package try rea on page 27 is ot to be one of the most sickest ones I have seen! I wouldn't mind doing something like it but I doubt I could of of my small garage. I starred at pics of it on pg.27 for like 10 mins.I must say awesome craftsmanship!!!!! :hail: WAR.

Pray tell what the Obama-Pelosi spray is for! Shawn

Not much to update on. I have just been fitting window trims and trunk gutters. Not very exciting or photo worthy. I am starting the trunk lid and installing an electric latch out of a cady. The spoiler is cut down to sit tighter to the trunk lid and quarters so I can't slam it shut. I'll post some pics of that when I'm finished.
I did get some cool parts in though. Here's the battery I'm running. This thing is about 6"x6"x7" and weighs 21lbs. http://i370.photobucket.com/albums/o...2243890001.jpg And just got my brakes in today thanks to Luke at L&H. http://i370.photobucket.com/albums/o...2443910003.jpg http://i370.photobucket.com/albums/o...2643930004.jpg |

Jason,What does it cost to have you DA a car down to super smooth bare metal.  Scott
|
So after being late to catch up on yet another phenomenal build I have this to add:
This car would really benefit from some attention to detail and jewel like finish quality....:hail: |

Do you think you could DA my car for $200.00:lol:

One of the best out there and not even done yet, Show it at Columbus in bare metal
|
Ahhhh....32 pages of reading to start my day....
Now onto breakfast! Seriously, I have not been here in awhile (Lat-G) and the quality of the build (which as just kept growing) is telling me maybe i should stay away... ....but... :willy: I dont know if it encourages me to go further or telling me i will never make it to my liking with mine lol!! Looking at that kinda work is ALWAYS making me wish i had done this and that. Now the car is painted and almost ready to rock and all i can think about is the next one... Where is the smiley with a gun to his head? Lol!!! Awesome work for sure. Lead. |

Lol!! Thanks man....Always can count on the power of Lat-G to help out huh? Lead. Seriously tough, it got me motivated to work on my car seeing this thread. I have been working on it for 2 days and will do some more this afternoon. |
Got a little progress done. Finished installing the trunk latch today. Had to keep the escape latch, thought it was funny. Still have to mount the button for the release.
