He didn't make the album view able to public, you have to have a facebook account to view it. It's worth it though!

That's how I ended up getting a facebook account. Kurt Urban had something to show and it was on their. So I signed up and I swear like 30 minutes later without a profile picture or anything 3 of my friends were asking to be my friend. 8 months later almost everybody is on there and there is some awesome stuff posted on there.

preston 10-05-2011 11:20 AM

Yeah I know but I had a couple of accquaintance/friends in my mountain bike club who were having some kind of spat and when a full grown man in his late 30's said to me in a plaintive voice "And then he de-friended me on facebook !" it took all of my manly restraint not to slap him like I was General Patton in a shell shock ward

GregWeld 10-05-2011 11:43 AM

Facebook? Really? Isn't that were little girls hang out?

If you call guys like Tom "the tin man" Hanna, and Kurt Urban little girls, then count me in.

Honestly I used to tease my wife about Facebook, but there is some awesome stuff on there and I'm glad I joined to be able to feed my addiction.

I don't have enough friends to be on Facebook. Well, that, and I don't want to wear Birkenstocks... or drive a Prius... or Twitter either. :woot:

RECOVERY ROOM 10-05-2011 07:57 PM

Howdy friend ... I put a shop page on there. Theres a lot of people from this site there (and even non camaro owners) LOL

elitecustombody 10-05-2011 09:06 PM

Tracy, did you have to have personal page set up first to put up a shop page? I've been contemplating doing a shop page, but I'm kinda like Greg, not into all this school girl stuff, tweeting, texting,myspace:_paranoid

radrambler 10-06-2011 07:39 AM

Step Up

YOU GUYS HAVE NO IDEA HOW MANY PEOPLE FROM THIS FORUM ALONE ARE ON THERE.
FACEBOOK is another connection point for car guys just like the forums.
It doesnt cost anything and
DONT WORRY GREG ....YOUR MAN CARD IS NOT GOING TO BE REVOKED

Tom

GregWeld 10-06-2011 07:45 AM

I think you can set up a shop only, It's been a good way to reach people who are interested in all types of cars and automotive stuff. I think the stuff Greg is talking about is true, I dont give a crap about what someone had for dinner, It took along time for me to warm up to the idea myself.

radrambler 10-06-2011 09:07 AM

oh and Hot Girls

Greg

Every now and then guys like ME post PICS of HOT Girls on thier Facebook page..

Isnt that right TRACY....:D

Yes and No. I believe they have it to where you can set one up from the main page but they will eventually make you have a personal page to branch the shop page off of. You don't necessarily have to have any context or friends on the personal page though. I have a personal page that the shop is branched off of that I have no info or friends on, then I have my own personal page with friends that I know. The hardest part on a shop page is getting followers. Once you hit the 1,000 or so fans it pretty much increases on its own, but until then you have to try to market the page off your personal page. I like Facebook. They make it really easy to upload updates and photos. It's obviously the best way to market yourself or a business and it doesn't cost a dime!

pacificustoms 10-06-2011 10:14 AM

To get a little back on track. Here's a couple photos of the finished (or almost finished) bus that I posted a build link to earlier. I'm not too fond of the colors, but man that thing is cool! I can only imagine the trip it is to drive around from up on the sky-deck!

The "Abarth Clone" project is amazing! I love seeing that kind of talent. Something that's so far gone that the average individual would see it as a point of no return. These guys having the mad talent to resurrect it and bring it back from the ashes just from pictures! This is my favorite thread. Thanks for sharing.
