I bet I get my Camaro done before the two of you get your projects done. Of course yours will go on the back burner because mine will be taking up your time.

Tracy i would like to ask you some questions,

When a guy like myself comes to you and ask you. If you could put a new interior in a older car? That they are trying to accomplish the new car look and feel to the point you begin to wonder what car you are actually in.

do you feel is is a hinder on your ability's or are you confident that you can get what the customer wants and still get your twist on things as well ?

I find out what the customer is after and the look they want. Then we build it to work with those ideas. Not all cars get the same look or style, If a guy says he wants something modern I do it, If they want something that still has a older style to it we do that. This year alone we have done several Camaro and the wants of every customer has been different. Some guys feel that if everything else on the car has been updated to new standards then they want there interior to be updated also. If the car is a complete stock bodied look on the outside the interior should be more on the updated stock look

Thanks for your time an answer. When i get this point in my project, i will be looking to you to finish what i could not...

Bad Bowtie 01-12-2012 09:04 PM

Tracy,
I know you've heard this a lot on this thread... but you've got skills man  They always say when your good you can't hide it right  I was just checking out the photos and wondering how did you get started in doing interior work? Did you attend any interior design courses through any of the trade schools or was this acquired through years of practicing the craft. I used to hang out with a guy that did streetrod interiors just wished i would taken the opportunity to learn a little bit on that aspect of car building.
Keep up the good work
BB

RECOVERY ROOM 01-17-2012 06:00 AM

I learned by trial and error..practice and practice. I always liked art and cars. I just found I had a knack for doing this kinda a work

Moparigno 01-27-2012 09:53 AM

Hi Tracy,
I'm wondering where you get the toggle switches for that Cuda. They look like the Ford GT switches

http://hubgarage.s3.amazonaws.com/ph...501_detail.JPG

RECOVERY ROOM 01-27-2012 09:05 PM

They are, I just went to the Ford dealer.... and there expensive..LOL

GrabberGT 01-28-2012 06:11 AM

This may not be the right place to ask, but Im looking for a way to space out my steering wheel further without having to buy a new steering column. When I adjust my seat for leg room, the steering wheel is a little beyond natural reach. Is there a spacer made for early ford steering wheels?

RECOVERY ROOM 01-29-2012 05:47 PM

I have never seen a spacer, Might have to get one custom made ?

Yes, it defaults to the beta version. I am looking for another photo site, because it is slow for me.
