I assume that is a front end raise system on the front coil overs ? Can you tell us who makes that or any other tidbits. If it was already discussed I missed that.

Seeing this car in person at Good Guys I could not believe how ugly this thing is in person. I have to say the pics here must be all altered and photo chopped.
Major booty fab fabrication all over the place, poor craftsmanship, fit and stance all over the place, interior and engine compartment are ugly etc etc I woudl be ashamed of showcasing a car like that or even driving something like that in public. That is why I will maje the sacrifice and say I can take the ca off your hands so you do not need to continue living in shame :D JK this is an insane bad ass build, the pictures definitely do not do the car justice. Amazing work, build, design and craftsmanship at every corner. very refreshing, inspiring and clean build! Gui:cheers: |
Steve,
Nice meeting you in Danville at the show. Car looks amazing in person. SMOTY !!!!! |
I'm glad I was able to see it in person last weekend! Outstanding in every way. You guys nalied every aspect IMO.

As far as Goodguys, It was a very busy weekend im Pleasanton and I enjoyed seeing everyone and shooting the s%$t. "Tenacity didn't do too bad either as we picked up a "Builders Choice Award", I think the diehard street rodders even sppreciated it! ( Our 65 Mustang also picked up "Best Ride on BFG's".) |
Steve, nice meeting you and chatting with you about Tanacity and my build. Your car is amazing... Especially producing something of that quality in just 18 months.
Pictures just don't do it justice. Although I think your photographer is top notch too. |
We capped off this crazy 2012 season when we qualified for Goodguys 2013 "Muscle Machine of the Year" and got a "Builders Choice" in Delmar this last weekend! To top it off, I finally got to have some fun on the autocross as well! It was great meeting some of you for the first time out there and hope to see you again.

Congrats Steve! You earned it..

Steve gave me a tour of the shop 2 weeks ago (Steve- I'm Doug with the 70' chevelle-I was inquiring about smoothing my firewall) and Tenacity is even more amazing in person. That thing is beautiful.
Thanks again for showing me around Steve. Congrats. |
Steve, your car is absolutely beautiful!! One question, when you lowered the rockers did you cut out the originals and form up new ones that extended down lower? or did you just weld metal onto the bottoms to extend them down?
I have a Max-G chassis as well. I am not necessarily looking to extend my rockers quite as low as you did because of all the extensive modifications that are needed. I just want to eliminate that factory flange at the bottom where the inner and outer rocker are spot welded together. Thanks, Aman |
Thanks Aman
We used the upper part of the originals and grafted our fabbed rockers into that. The fenders were added on proportionatly as well as the quarters. Overall its about a 3" extension with a 4" of ground clearance. We did not want anything hanging down below the rocker. |

The owner sent me a pic of the car at Treasure Island on his way to San Francisco Sat. If anyone was wondering why we didn't have it at GNRS this weekend, this is why! I'm glad hes out driving it, in SF to boot! |
That is impressive...
Cruising to S.F.. Bet that turned a lot of heads.. |
Absolutely beautiful car! it's builds like this that keep my buying lottery tickets!
Can you answer one quick question, What mirrors did you use? They look great with the body and i'm in need of new mirrors for my '69. I hope one day to see the car in person, maybe Goodguys in Puyallup this year perhaps? |

We have talked about going to Puyallup, but were so busy in the shop right now, I dont think we can take the time off. Would be a nice diversion though! |
Great, thanks so much for the mirror info..including the fact that you had to trim them down, that's a key piece of info for a guy like me who's building his car in his garage, with limited time, resources and money! Too bad about GG, i'd LOVE to see this car in person and meet the guys behind it.
Thanks again for the response, Robert |
