She won't stay still long enough to get a photo! She has the attention span of an A D D 3 month old.... :bang:

That's how labs are when they're young. Our black lab mix finally started to slow down when he turned 12ish. He's 17 now :confused59:

Spoiled? Stella probably has her own American Express card. :lmao:

I had one (AMEX) -- they took it away when they heard Stella arrived. Figured all new furniture and rugs would be over my spending limit.

Thanks Tones! I can hardly wait to drive this little hot rod!

Spoiled is an understatement.... HER place is now on the sofa between Gwen and I... you don't dare sit anywhere else! This way she can attack to the left of right at will. Although I did sneak in a nap yesterday later afternoon once she fell asleep with her head in my lap. I figured I couldn't move for an hour for fear of waking her up - so might as well make the best of it!

You will have to bring her down to play with our new dog. Wanda is an English Mastiff. She is 9 weeks and nearly 20 lbs and gaining 3 lbs a week. She eats 4 cups of food a day. Maybe you could take Wanda to SEMA as a mini pony.

Do you have hardwood floors in your garage?

waynieZ 02-28-2013 12:16 PM

Stella may be spoiled but your loving every minute of it!

That's a cushioned vinyl floor stabilized internally with fiberglass so it can be loose laid without edge curling. That particular one is Tarkett, but Mannington, Armstrong, Congoleum, IVC, and Shaw also have similar products. I picked up remnants and use them in frequent use areas. Good insulation, quiet, reasonable grease and oil resistance. Doesn't handle splatter from the wire welder very good though. :D

coolwelder62 02-28-2013 12:52 PM

This is an awesome project.Have you ever thought about having someone make some carbon fiber fenders and a air damm for the front of it.Maybe a billet alum dash and some oil line fittings.:poke:

Post up a pic of Wanda -- the one you sent me was adorable....

Oh yeah - and post up a pic of the 5 gallon "crap" bucket too!

I could use a good pony at SEMA!

I know just the shop to have build that stuff -- but first I'd have to have someone else build it - so they could copy it.... I'm working on that. Should
be any day now. <with a day dream look on his face>....

I have a set of INTROS I'd like to replicate in CF. Can you give me the shops name? :popcorn2:

The "discussion" was "on display" 2014 Grand National Roadster Show.... and ready to drive long distance (after they shake it down etc) to the L.A. Roadsters Fathers Day Show - Fathers Day weekend. A group departs his shop and they drive to LA for the show and back. That's my kinda weekend!

My plan is to take Gwen --- and then we'll drive up highway 1 and do Monterey/Carmel... San Francisco etc.

GregWeld 04-30-2013 07:15 AM

Stopped at the Briz's on my way home from Phoenix..... He's got the stance nailed IMHO. These are not my wheels -- they're not even INTRO'S -- but they are similar sizes.

They're super busy trying to get a 32' done for Vic Edelbrock... so there isn't much going on for my car. We just worked on a few details such as the hood side louvers... what headlights... and how I want the frame rails done. I want the lower frame rail shaped to exactly mimic the lower body line... and I've cooked up a special little treatment to the frame horns.. which isn't going to be shown here this time.

Obviously you didn't have enough space to pack your good camera. :underchair:

DOOM 04-30-2013 10:11 AM

Greg I still can't take my eyes off this car that frame detail is perfection! Not to sound dumb but hood or no hood??? You can really see why this guy is one of the best!!!:trophy-1302:

RECOVERY ROOM 04-30-2013 10:32 AM

Good Hot Rod stance, I like it

Lenie 04-30-2013 11:41 AM

Greg maybe it's just me, I could be losing it but I actually really like those wheels:underchair: The car is phenomenal!

waynieZ 04-30-2013 11:47 AM

Its sitting pretty ! I agree on the stance.

syborg tt 04-30-2013 11:52 AM

Greg your car looks incredible so where are you going to drive it first

ps - Would love to see pics of Vic's car ( I'm a big Edelbrock Fan )

Frame horns? I thought you just wack em off and run a little nerf bar, curious to see what you have planned.

Those poor skinny rear tires are gonna take a beating! What a fun car, looks great GW.

Ya know -- I did have it! But with all the excitement of trying to get 65' of rig thru So San Francisco traffic... and then we just got to jabberin'.... and well... pics were an afterthought... or maybe NO thought at all!

Mario -- This will have hood sides.... it will have three rows of louvers -- starting longer at the top and the next row will be shorter -- and the bottom row will be shorter still... 4" louvers.

These are just some rollers that Roy uses.... and I agree --- they're "okay" for the look. But the billet Tom Gloy wheels will be "mo betta" -- we're cuttin' 'em 5" wide up front... And the rears will have some lip on them.

Yeah that would just about do it.... it's a subtle change but it just has to be done... I can't stand the two being different and it's a pretty simple "fix".

That's a very good catch and call on your part.

DBasher 04-30-2013 11:21 PM

Well shoot. I wasn't going to say anything because it looks real good and Brizio definatly knows how to put these together but...If he's going to modify the frame what do you think about pushing the front wheel forward an inch or two, maybe three?
Center of the wheel looks real good just behind the top portion of the grill. It also shows a lil more leg, err I mean front rail.

Just a thought. You can't go wrong with a shop like Brizio, he doesn't do ugly.

Dan
