Recently bought a truck :D . Has already been very handy, though not in the ways that I had expected so far  .

It is a 2000 Silverado. 5.3L/4L60E with the 3.42 G80 locking differential. It keeps eyeing the 6.0L LQ4 that I have for the '56 though :_paranoid .

Before I bought it.

Some of my buddies like to give me a hard time saying that a 2WD RCSB doesn't qualify as a truck, but nobody can say that I don't use it like a truck. In front is the eight stumps pulled from our yard, and the shovel in the back is for unloading one of the five tons of dirt we have gotten with it.

Those look like MB Motoring "Old School" wheels. They are sold through Discount Tire-

Nice truck. Is that a factory SWBCC or a Centurion conversion? I had a 96 conversion and loved it.

It's a Centurion. I've wanted one since they started making them, this is the first one that I've found that wasn't beat all to hell and priced like it was made of gold.

I'm already thinking about 22" front and 24" rear billets, airbags, Caddy clip and a plush interior for cruising in comfort...

NICE!!! The only thing I wish mine had is leather buckets. I've got 60/40 cloth benches front and rear, but I'll swap it to buckets as soon as I can find some decent ones.

Look for a Burb or Denali to rob the leather from. You will love the additional padding that the OEM leather seats have.

24's might be a bit large for an OBS. I think 20's or 22's max. What about some 22" Budnik Arrowheads? :unibrow:

PASD U 11-27-2010 11:42 AM

Uggghhh, took me all morning to remember and FIND where I saw this...here's a couple renderings for you. Check out post #46.

Yeah, that's what I loved about my '96 GMC Z71, the seats were COMFY. If I can't find any either locally or in So Cal, I might get some cloth buckets and take them somewhere for custom leather and more padding.

I think 24's out back look sweet, but I know I'd have to cut like crazy to stuff 'em up front. I figure a nice 24/22 setup will be perfect, plus I want to give it a little hotrod rake and still have the wheels sorta tucked in the back. Who knows, it looks right in my mind, I'll have to get some renderings made to really feel it out.

Yep, that's what I was talking about. Thanks for putting the work in. By the way, I suppose it needs to be said...

ahem, (in best fast-talking-low-speaking lawyer voice) The renderings seen above are neither the work nor the property of myself nor do I have any affiliation with the artist/owner/recipient/ of these renderings other than being a member of the same public forum. (whew! breath full)

I like the clean look of those trucks though whether crew cab, regular or extended cab.

Jr 11-28-2010 08:43 PM

Where did you find that truck? I would love to one of those...

What kind of rims and suspension? Also, did you make brackets for that seat?
