Good call on the Moal cap. It's a great looking piece, just not on this truck. I see the spray outs they've got there, what are you thinking?

It's good to hear you're happy with the shop and the quality of work they're doing...priceless.

The darkest grey there ---- with the beltline done in mat black and then pinstriped --- Wheels (they're billet) will be polished hoop - mat black "spokes" with the spacer gloss black -- polished poverty cap.

Engine compartment will be a few tone on tone - mat and gloss.....

Wayne --- there's a "couple" in every group aren't there. Funny -- 3 years ago the truck was at Pinkee's -- and these two managed to squeeze in to the cab... and here we are again.

Don Hardy built the LS motor in my '33 hiboy..... a 480HP version. Motor was awesome!

And yes --- we're all hot rodders.... and "Stock" just doesn't do it for us.

Day one on the tour I was driving 700HP ---- Day 2 thru til the end I was driving a RamJet 350..... I can tell you with certainty that I like the 700HP WAY better. By the time we got to Austin (Andice) I'd already made up my mind that 430HP wasn't going to get it done. LOL

Horsepower IS a drug... We're just lucky it isn't regulated. :D

I know you love the LSA but they're far too tame for my liking. For me it's got to SOUND like power. Rudy and I both commented about how quiet the '65 was when you went buy us a couple times. I prefer motors that are a little snotty.

Thanks Joe!

I'm trying to build the truck to "appear" at first glance -- rather "stock"..... so if you just saw it running down the road - someone might say "look at that cute old truck" --- but to people that really "see it" --- they're going to have to walk over and take a look.... or if they hear it -- they're going to have to come see what the hell is going on there..... LOL

Personally I think the wheels make the look.

I'm also building this to be a daily driver --- so all of that plays into what I'm trying to accomplish. Have it be "playful" but daily driveability... so simple paint (repairable) - simple systems - parts I can get on a road trip (starters and alternators and bearings etc).
