I love the looks... but beauty is only skin deep. I'll get it all sorted out. It did completely CHANGE the look and style of the car and I'm happy with the "looks". |

There is an under car exhaust that comes off the lake style header - most of the off the shelf stuff you see the exhaust run off the bottom of the collector and goes down OUTSIDE the frame and then back underneath. TIM BRUNING (our MISTER Tim Bruning) built this so the exhaust goes off the collector and INSIDE the frame and then runs back so you don't see it. Super sweet idea and execution on his part! |

Sorry to read about all the trouble you've had with the car. I know you've improved how its running, but it still had a nice, different sound to it, likely due to the unique exhaust. If I didn't know it was a sbc Chevy, I doubt I would've been able to guess what motor was in the deuce ... and I like that. |
Sorry to hear about all the problems with the car. I was hoping (For you ) the problems from the first day would be the only ones. I hope the weather holds out for you and you get to enjoy it some. I wish you would drive that as you call it POS Nomad to New York so I could drive down and see it. lol I hope it goes better tomorrow.

Jody, I've had lots and lots of cars.... but this little POS is the most fun car I've ever owned (despite the stupid "mistakes" SAR built into the car). It's a friggin little rocket ship... handles like a go kart with suspension... sounds bad ass... has gears to row... My brother in law is 6' 4".... and he fits in it. Not sure if the plastic surgeon can get those teeth marks out of his knees though. They might buff out. HUGE -- JUST HUGE -- difference in this car than "normal" '32 Fords.... these little POS NEED the suspension - i.e., the Kugel (or other) IRS and IFS really really changes how these light weight - ultra short... cars ride. The ride on this car is awesome! |
Greg,
Well, it did rain last night but it is clear now.... a few clouds, but clear. I live "over the hill" in Santa Ynez, and it looks decent outside here. I plan to be at the show by noon....... Hopefully I can catch up with you. --Eric |
Deep Breath.................. and out..................
i guess you need to debug it at some point. that is why i don't let the customer take his car till after a test drive, sorry Greg :willy: |
Not impressed, there is a lot to be said for well thought out systems and the "Engineering". Looks and sounds killer. A few bugs are expected. That seems extreme for a pro shop, though.
You know the old saying, "If you want it done right, you have to do it yourself". |
