This is the color we're thinking of doing --- with mat black wheels - and mat black body line....

Charley hates it -- so it must be perfect! LOL

Hmmm. I don't hate it....but it looks like all the lines of the car disappear. With the 40 being so round and the belt line popping with the black it'll probably look just fine.

What else you got?

I am a fan of gray. I painted my beater last week, ACE hardware calls it "Medium Gray Gloss" :sieg:

One of the colours on the initial palate for my last car was similar and the friend that was helping me spray it complained the test panel looked too much like primer with clear. I don't care, I like it.

No offense Greg, but that is a very :BlahBlah: color imho.

I love it Greg. I've seen a few cars with that color and it's awesome. Black wheels and bronze colored wheels really go well with the color if you ask me. I say do it!! Dodge calls their color like that "Destroyer Grey." You may want to look at that shade too. They reason why I love it is because colors back in the day were flat and didn't have metallic, pearls, etc. and weren't too many options in a color choice, period. Therefore, it is only befitting to put a flat color on such an awesome truck.

We took the color and tweaked it.... so it's not exactly that color anymore but close.

And I'm 100% in agreement --- I want the truck to be 40/50's color. I'm never a fan of these 40's builds with hitech colors and rubberband tires. My goal has been to keep it fairly period looking - but updated modern driving/running etc. A guy is going to have to really "look" to find the details. I'm not trying to build a show car at all.... or a magazine build. It's just my nice old daily driver and I live in Idaho. LOL

"Destroyer Grey" because it destroys the look of the car..........
