The good news about him buying USED parts is that we at least know they were used somewhere... 'cause it's unlikely they'll ever get used again.

 Good one Greg.

I know he doesn't want me to post the infamous photos.

HA! If we can't laugh at each other -- and poke -- and prod -- what fun would it all be.

I did have to send DG an email and tell him how much I love him -- and how much fun it was to make fun of him. Don't want him to get mad = he might want to take it out on me on the track!

So when you go there ...find me a Jerico main case (308 front bearing) ;) THANKS BUD

Matt@BOS 02-03-2014 02:38 PM

Some of those parts, like the oil coolers and rear center section look just like the parts that arrived at my doorstep last month. The oil coolers were such a good deal I bought three of them to have some "in stock."

Yep. Endless piles. I figure they won't be running out soon so I will just let them carry the inventory. :D

Rob picked out his chunk from a wall of probably a hundred.

I just sent another check out to Nascar surplus country today.... it probably won't end soon either. We are that "little things" stage....

I just realized I posted the size incorrectly. It is actually 3.5" round into a 5.25" x 2" approx oval if I remember the oval correctly.

Roush Yates had a whole wall of shelving and bins I spent 20 minutes sorting through and measuring.

I can't imagine. They would have to drag me out of there. I love where you've taken your car Dave!

Beach Cruiser 02-04-2014 09:24 AM

Car is coming along nicely! I also need to make a visit to the Thrift store for some goodies. Saw a few threads back you were talking about AIX, two of the east coast nasa regions have started a class for Outlaw Vintage cars (like ours) We run in the same group as AI, AIX, CMC ect... but usually start at the back so there is less chance of "rubbing" So far NASA South East, and NASA Mid Atlantic have sanctioned the class, and we have to nod to run in the East Nationals at RA, but just for exibition. Check it out at this link http://www.outlaw-vintage-racing.com/home.html

Thanks. I have looked into that class and contacted Gordon but there does not seem to be any traction out west here. Would be pretty much the perfect class IMO for many of us. VERY simple rulesets and like you said lot less chance of trading paint. Thanks for checking in.

What about Tillett Seats? They make a lot of cool stuff. All super light weight!

Cool stuff. It looks a little too "importy" to me and reminds me of the carbon fiber GT3 seats guys were putting in their cars when I was in the Porsche world. Thanks for the suggestion.

I wonder when Susie will wake up and figure out that she's having to make choices between replacing the deck - or buying a hauler....

Vegas69 02-07-2014 07:51 AM

Actually True I was thinking more along the lines of creating some shear value with some bracing and ply but thanks for the laugh.

Yours is a band-aid. Mine eliminates the problem entirely.

....albeit while creating a few others, but if you are going to do something, do it to wretched excess.

Flash68 02-07-2014 04:01 PM

Deck connects to house. House connects to garage. Garage is where Camaro will reside when it gets home (queue GW comment).

This whole fire thing better happen before the Camaro gets home is all I am gonna say.

:peepwall:

Sieg 02-07-2014 04:10 PM

I really don't appreciate people using fire and Camaro in the same sentence. :sieg:
