Glad the Forgelines were saved.

Yes little sarcasm. Driver side axle was twisted. Passenger side survived unscathed.

Man I feel for ya, I thought you were gonna be okay and unscathed after the last video. Surprised to see pressed in studs and that Trutrac got mangled:bigun2:.
Funny thing is I just ordered a Trutrac and some Strange axles but I don't have the ponies that you're putting down.
Wondering how those axle bearings are for leaking, I was a little weary about using them.
Good luck with the new setup and post up a vid after the break in period, you know what I mean :).

Mine were good for not leaking prior.

And as for break in period. I bet it doesn’t get much of one before I’m back to making hits in the car.

Yeah, I think I'll stick to the lower horsepower range with mine. I can't afford to do all that. Lucky the Forgeline was saved!!!!

That is the center section I am running but using their pro touring floater as well with the 35 spline axles. As I'm sure you are aware floater axles are common in drag cars as well. More expensive but several additional benefits. More insurance against future issues.

An option maybe...

I considered a floater but didn’t want to fully redo rear and brakes. And potentially affect offset for rear wheels. Too much potential impact. Really wanted to use the floater style with c6/7 rear hubs and make use of rear wheel speed sensors as well, but lose the benefit of being able to pull the axle if keeping 35 splines (vette hubs are 33).

Maybe in the future.

Understood. Just to clarify. Wheels don't have to change at all. Axle tube is cut to length for overall same width.

Understood and still not happening this go round :)

Being that i didn't break a 31 spline axle, just gave it some twist, i think 35's will have no issue staying in one piece.

I'm glad you confirmed it was twisted. I sat there looking at the screen for a minute wondering if my eyes were playing tricks on me, lol. :sieg:
