I need a :holyguacamole: icon.

Or, as Skip and Dave would say #holyguacamole :D

Was this with the traction control on?

On the exhaust side we corked it up to simulate full exhaust via flow restrictors. So I think we will clear 950 HP installed without much trouble. We also use 35 C intercooler water to be more real world. With chilled water we can clear a 1000 HP no problem? Mayhem was fast this should be even faster with more power, less weight, and more down force. If I can get it done!

Very impressive Mark. It should work nicely, great power curves...

Just started data analysis from dyno testing today - needless to say, we somewhat exceeded targets.....

Will have complete breakdown of data within a couple of days, but here is a comparison of power from Mayhem to Hellfire.

In sticking with Mark's theme of 'more power + less mass' it is certainly directionally correct.

Some statics of Hellfire engine:
Average TQ from 2100-6800 RPM = 871 #/FT
Average HP from 2100-6800 RPM = 726 HP
Peak TQ: 950
Peak HP: 931

For fair comparison, compared to Mayhem over same range (3900-6800 RPM):
Mayhem Hellfire
AVG TQ 765 847
AVG HP 772 852

More to come - much data to process.....

I guess if your into that sort of thing....
That torque curve looks delicious. Did I just say that out loud?

No traction control on that car other than your right foot.

For those of you who don't know Dave Mikels he is the brains behind my power and success for over 24 years. He did the engine in our FSAE car back in 1990 and 1991. I did the chassis and Dave did the engine. Huh same as now. Dave is also a great driver so we have been a good team for a few years. We were roommates at Rolla, MO

The years I did well at OUSCI it was Dave in my window telling where to pick up time in the Auto-X. Not my best event but I can do when I need to with a good spotter.

So we are at again. I think Dave will get it all sorted out! Looks good so far. I'm going to need more chassis to put all this power down.

Mark

Is that still a 2.3L blower? 6 bolt heads?

Yes - 'massaged' LS9 2300 supercharger

No - 4 bolt heads - LS7 block / CNC LS9 heads (I think we are near or at the limit for 4-bolt)

Very impressive numbers for a "messaged" 2.3L blower. Is the inlet and outlet for the intercooler bigger than stock? Keeping 1K HP cool must need help...
