Really glad this build is still going. I say leave the access door for the reservoirs as is or similar. It screams hard core. A fuel door type cover is too polished for this car. Thanks for sharing Payton!

Thanks guys! It has been a fun project. This is the absolute last Camaro I will ever do.

I went with an AEM CD7 dash. It will plug right into the Holley harness via can/bus. It has data aq and track mapping, etc

Does that mean you're going to build a Trans Am next? No? What about a 66/67 Chevelle? Those are cool!

Actually, I think he's considering a spec Miata.

Payton King 03-27-2018 10:55 AM

Nothing as cool as a Miata. lol Next car, if ever, will be a big cruiser. 1960 Caddy on air ride for a daily driver would be the ticket.

GForce is not far from Charlotte and I got the name of a guy there that does about 85% of the rears for the Trans Am guys and gal. He told me they use the Aluminum Strange unit and the vast majority use a Detroit tru trac. That was surprising to me, but they are not breaking them. Same guy set up my center section, but I am using a Winters wedge loc.
