Yes Sir. All the body work, prep, paint and buffing was done here. I'm pretty happy with the results for it being the 5th car from our booth. Its what we will call and entry level paint job here. My 2 main body guys have 20 year experience each. So its not their first rodeo. And I have some smart friends in the industry to call and ask questions.

We made a few sets of the these wheel stands a few years ago for the shop and for shows to display our projects. It seems like everyone has wanted to but them. But they take 2/3 of a sheet of 4x8 steel to cut them out and weight 40-50 lbs each. So shipping them completely welded has been difficult and expensive. So I have been brain storming ways to cut the cost on these stands and make them more useful.

So what I did on this latest design was take the Ironworks logo out of the cut to drop the cost a little for the length of time on the cutting. I then made some bigger openings for the stands to lighten the weight to cut down on the shipping cost. We are going to sell them unwelded so that shipping them is reasonable. But we also changed the base of the stands to accommodate a 15x15 " scale pad. So you can scale and adjust your cars suspension a little easier. The stands are made of .125 steel and interlock for easy fixturing during the weld process. The top plate will be formed to fit the top plate and everything can be welded from the inside for a clean final product.

Looks like retail pricing on these stands will be 140.00 each or 4 for 500 plus UPS shipping. I'm getting ready to cut my first batch and see how this goes with shipping and such.

how about a bolt together version?

Yeah but ya gotta have the logo, how about just on the outside, or a little applique emblem on the outside. Ya gotta represent what pays the bills....and when people pay you for advertising for you....just "bingo"....

I have to agree with this. Would it really cost that much more to have the Ironworks logo in there? Maybe send a sticker with the stands and let the end user decide if they want to put them on there. It's a good source for advertising.

The paint jobs look great. Congrats on being able to expand into that area as well.

I agree with the advertisement part, but just trying to keep cost low on a part that is just expensive to produce for it being just a wheel stand.
