Well it has been a crazy week or two. I'll start with the really great news. My wife and I just found out thats she's pregnant. We are totally stoked. Hopefully its a boy but we will see. The other good news is that i finally saved up enough money to get the bead roller i have been wanting. I got a Mittler Brothers 36" bead roller with the upgraded motor so it can safely do 16-18g steel. So i finally got to build the inner fenders for the bed because i was waiting for the bead roller. I am extremely happy with the overall turnout especially since it was my first ever built fender. I am actually excited to build the other side which hopefully get it done this week. I also build new inner bedsides. I went with something simple and clean. I figured after there painted it will look better simpler. I made it so the fenders bolt to the bedsides because it will be easier to paint and color sand if there not in the way. Anyways heres a bunch of pics. I got a little photo happy.

A few more pics. The pics with the new bedside mocked up is only mocked up. I modified the cutout for the bedside to match the inner fenders arc. I also made it so the inner fender is a bolt in style only because i thought it would be easier to paint and color sand without the fender in the way. I changed the way the front panel looks also but don't have any pics right now. I am going to build the other inner fender then weld in the new bedsides. Tried to go with a clean and simple look to match the overall appreance of the truck.

Outstanding job Josh. I have been trying to decide how i am going to handle the bed floor moving up in our truck. You have given me inspiration. I love the bead roller. We still have the u-crankit type. You gotta love tools. Keep up the awesome work. I'm hoping to make sparks in a week or so.

I got a little more progress done. I decided to work on the bed until its completly done minus paint and body. So i have been focusing all of my energy on that. I built new inner bedsides skins and changed the front bed panel to match the sides. I also took some 1 1/4" wood and jointed it, plained it down to the correct thickness I needed for the wood floor. I took stainless flat bars and welded studs on them so all the bolts will be under the bed so you don't see any bolts or anything from the top. The stainless will be polished at a later date. I recessed it down so its all flush. There not bolted in yet so in some of the pics they might look tighten down and the wood is just sitting there so the aren't fully aligned yet. My table saw broke some sort of pin so i couldn't finish the wood and i also ran out of the stainless flat bar. Thats why some are missing. Anyways heres some pics.

A few more. I am going to build a rear panel to hide the edges of the wood and continue that around the rear stake post so you don't see any of the edges there either.

Wait a minute. All this time i thought wood was for trucks and now your telling me that its for boats. Now i am really confused:willy:  . Did i miss something but you said OLD ProRides? Did you sell the business or something along those lines? Yeah Josh has been a lot of help. This is my first rodeo so its great when people like him give me pointers. Yeah i love the bead roller. I really want to get some more dies but need to budget my money because I already threw my budgeted money out the window so now every penny counts:D .

Thanks everyone else for the kind words. I have alot of hours invested in this and its nice to know that i am on the right track. Talk to you all later

Josh
