Very cool Freak.
Sounds like a blast to drive. It must be pretty tame at idle, right?

mexMan 08-02-2009 10:35 AM

so I think you ain't gonna use an intercooler, will you?

-Freak- 08-02-2009 12:43 PM

No intercooler plans right now.

At idle you would NEVER know it was there.

I've also got to figure out a solution so I can see fuel pressure while driving.
Just need to verify the FPR is working like it should.

I've run countless A1000's and 1200's, and had one failure. Otherwise they've been flawless.

just remember, there's a LOT of "gasoline" that has alcohol in it, and one may not have a choice to buy real 100% alcohol free gas.

We locked the timing at 26 then took it out to have some fun.
It runs good for what it is.
Unhooked the line to the waste gate that was helping it blow off at 5psi and took it for a spin.
Just running on the smallest spring that came with the X02 waste gate and we got 12lbs of boost.
Going to have to drill out the power valve more and play with the timing before it will run at 12lbs.
It was a fun test at least.

She is a pooch until the boost builds then it takes off and there is no holding it back.

Yep, it feels good to have it on the road again.

We busted ass Friday to get it ready for the local car club meeting that night.

Primer sealed the roof so it wouldn't rust on us if it rained. Put on a Magnaflow muffler that was laying around so the cops wouldn't harass us for running open exhaust and did a few other small things.

When we pulled to the meeting people didn't even pay attention.
I parked it and popped the hood. The 5 guys that were standing next to the Dart having a conversation just went absolutely silent when I lifted the hood.
Everyone was impressed and loved the sleeper look. There was a crowd around the engine bay pretty much the whole time we were there.

Half the people didn't understand what they were looking at.
The other half wondered how much the kit was.
