Unreal, you think you've seeen the best and then someone else posts something new. Someone just raised the car. I guess Ill have to get down to that shop! My buddy Josh keeps buggin me to go. Im going to have to take him up on it.

I can verify after closing the door and being used to 'normal' gm latches and then almost wrapping the door around the a-pillar from the outside-in...these are some incredible latches...you could push the door shut with a feather.
I think I almost gave Jason a heart attack when I ...um...'closed' the door with a little less 'finesse' than was required. (He did say "try closing the door" like it was difficult....pfft ...)

That's a pretty cool idea with the latches. Do you guys usually find normal latches all that hard to close though? I love the way my 67's doors shut compared to all of my newer vehicles. They close with little effort, I'm always yelling at people for slamming them.

Jason as I mentioned earlier, killer build! Just curious, your cars at Marquez shop, do you work there or your there building with him mentoring over your shoulder? Are they doing the new work? Did you do most of this before going to his shop? I guess I'm just blown away... if it's your first time doing this how professional and over the top WAR is looking. Hopefully my question makes sense and is not read with a negative tone?

Anyways maybe my question is really just a big compliment, keep the pics coming, love the build!

First thanks for the compliment. It is my first time doing this, I'm a carpenter by trade. I do not work there, I did for a few weeks before Sema to help them on the 56. Pascual was gracious enough to let me use a corner of the shop and his cool tools. It is also nice to have him there to bounce design ideas of of, he has a ton of them. He comes up with the design ideas, I build it. I just keeps snowballing.

Wow---maybe being addicted to drugs or alky would be cheaper---after looking at this thread a couple times a week, I have some serious wants.

You are doing an amazing job---I wish that a build book could be done on your ride---I would love a hard copy of all these details--ie the latches---there are so many one off and amazing artistic yet functional things happening here. Please keep sharing them with us---
