You're right Greg - my point in including it at all was (a) the new chassis is really, really cool and (IMHO) better engineered than the one that is in this post (an offset cell - really?) and (b) there are some pretty basic similarities in the front end styling and while the car in this post does not carry that theme through the car, Tyler's design did (ie the rockers and the front air damn were on the same plane) and (c) it was kind of a free plug since it's for sale (:D ). But you're right, at this point it capabilities are all supposition and until it is done it's not in the running.

So... let's get Penny and MotiV8R and Carl together and settle this thing right now! The 2010 Baddest 1968 Camaro in the Universe Street Car Invitational (?)

James -- Thanks for seeing me eye to eye...

Okay -- Now on to Larry's MotiV8R.... After his "excursion" at Pahrump.... you really think he's EVER going to track that car again? I'm thinking that car
gets packed in cotton balls and never hits red line again.

Penny is just flat bad to the bone... does it all really well - and looks good... and with Steve's new motor it will do it even better... I would hope.

While I REALLY appreciate the amount of fab work in this car I have to wonder if it will ever go near a track or any sort of driving venue. If it doesn't then that's sort of sad.

I'm also not sure if the look of the car works well with the parts that are in it.. I feel it needed to be a little less blingy and a bit more angry looking.

That said I think some of the fab work on that car is crazy cool and there must be a bazillion hours invested. Would die to have some of those features on my car.

Very cool.

@ Pokey

I got that same Nigerian email -- they wired me 40 million bucks...

You had to be the first guy in that pyramid!

:wow:

You guys can make fun of this person's english, but you have to admit that he has more talent than 97% of the members on this board, including myself.

Obviously there is some sort of language barrier here, but I think he gets his point accross well.

The car is definitely cool, not my cup of tea, but you have to admit the fabrication work is outstanding.

I like the build pics WWWWWAAAAAAYYYYYY better then the end product. But who builds a square tube race car, Think of how much unneeded weight that car has.

It is an honor to think Tyler's 50/50 Car would even be thought about in the "Best of the Universe" contest. But Greg, Just to be clear 50/50 has come a million miles from the abortion that some body put under that car however many years ago. That particular chassis ranks high on a whole other list of mine. :D

I'm in... just let me get that new 440 installed.. lol

What other "cool" 68s are out there? Velocity over at Ridetech is pretty badass.. I know I'm missing some.

I would run against this car.. after all I have nothing to lose. lol

If I win it's "Hey, I beat a million $$$$ Camaro!"
If I lose then it's "Hey, what do you expect, the guy had a million $$$$ Camaro!"

:)

That was my thought.. I kept getting more excited as I went through the pics until I got to the end and was sort of let down (Except the interior which was nice).. the exterior just doesn't mesh with what lies beneath. The guy who built it is a genious at fabrication, but he should have hire a designer for the overall look.

Someone needs to buy and finish 50/50.. that's for sure.

Oh - I agree Rodger... it was the "inclusion" of this "build" that I was poking fun at... 'cause it's a long ways from entering any contests...
