Vegas69 01-05-2011 07:32 AM

That's sexy.:unibrow: Have you considered extending the front flare down to your front facia with a small strip similar to the back?

ironworks 01-05-2011 07:39 AM

Hay there Armchair Monday Morning Watercooler Quarterback. We have some carbon plans my brother. Don't sweat it. Is the housing market in Vegas suck that bad that your now DESIGNING cars too.

I haven't seen it recently to get and exact measurement, but it is set back at least 8 inches into the firewall. The back of the heads are almost even with the base of the front window.

Already in the design process. It will actually be the front air dam splitter/air fence that will extend into the wheel well and add some coverage of the tire. Plans are to have it removable for trailering.

Maybe. I've been toying with white, red, and blue in addition to the factory Rally Green. Haven't decided yet.

I think red white and blue would look good. Now where have I seen a bunch cars painted in that scheme?

No. Red. Or White. Or Blue.

Or Green. Or??

1 solid color with carbon accents in satin finish.

I'm thinking if you had a chance to view Bob's Iracing stable of specially painted cars and how visible they are from the track when he has spun out and into the bushes you might reconsider. Very visible from on track and very patriotic.

Rodger is just jealous I'm faster in the Mazda, but here is the paint on my race cars.

That's damn funny, and the car looks sick!

ironworks 01-08-2011 11:46 AM

We are getting the passenger side caught up to the drivers side.

Those HRE's look great on this car.

Keep the pics coming

Teetoe_Jones 01-14-2011 01:23 PM

The widebody is wide.

Pass flare is almost done. Needs to be trimmed up to match the width of the drivers side:
http://i53.tinypic.com/9r6s0w.jpg

It's hard to describe what seeing it in person does. The pictures don't convey the widebody aggressiveness of the treatment very well. It's just...Dominating. Evil. It lets you know you are looking at something that would eat you if it could.

View from the upper storage area:
http://i51.tinypic.com/1znn410.jpg

It's over a half a foot wider than factory. It's crazy. (The pass side flare still has not been trimmed here to match the drivers, so it looks big.)

Engine is setback to the point that the firewall and the base of the windshield will be even.

Tyler looks better than I expected-man- you should wiper her down with some WD40 and "gap enhancing spray" and run it in the rough- I love it:D

mexMan 01-14-2011 02:06 PM

Awesome! I'm waiting to see it finished, love it! I hope the empty the engine is leaving in front of it is filled with something awesome (turbos, maybe?)

No forced induction on this car. But all that real estate in the front will get a radiator setup like this:

Tyler

Why do they restrict the air intake so much?

68protouring454 01-14-2011 04:32 PM

have to roll on a dyno to pass race tech, engines are restricted

rjsjea 01-14-2011 04:53 PM

Looks tough for sure....

mexMan 01-14-2011 04:55 PM

You might need to send the engine a bit more to the back if you want to fit a radiator  ... It looks awesome!

nvr2fst 01-14-2011 06:02 PM

Hey Playr' Now thats how you do flared fenders! Best I've seen yet.
I'm glad to see your taking your vision to the lext level and not wusin' out on aggresive body lines. Would be cool to have yours and mine shot together in final bare metal.
Has Rodger defined the word TRUST ME to you:hail:

tones2SS 01-15-2011 12:07 PM

That car does really look aggressive Tyler.
Great job Rodger and crew.

CrossRamRich 01-16-2011 07:31 PM

coolwelder62 01-12-2012 07:15 PM
