Gorgeous color. Nice work Chris.

ItDoRun 03-28-2015 08:33 PM

Thanks. Last week I decided to pull the rear end and have it powder coated because I wasn't pleased with the paint. Got it back yesterday, reassembled the guts and installed it today. Need a driveshaft, brake lines, and fuel line and the underside will be complete.

jcal87 05-30-2015 08:55 PM

It's been awhile since we have chatted! Looks killer! Glad to see this thing coming along.

I love this car! Great build and it will be a perfect street car for your family! Lots of fun memories are just around the bend! Power through the final parts of the build.....you are very close to that first drive in many years!

I'll post a video when I get it idling correctly. Sounds like an old junker with open headers rights now.

Ditch that cold air. It's robbing a lot of power.

I just can't see it robbing a lot of power. 4" intake is a 4" intake. Is there something I'm missing?

randy 10-22-2015 08:55 PM

what radiator hoses did you use? part number? issues?

X2. The Airaid intake system is nice and certainly not robbing any power.

As of now no issues but the car has only ran for maybe 5 minutes total. The lower hose was from Napa and the upper hose was from O'Reilly. I looked for countless hours on the forums for hose part numbers for my particular set up with no luck. I'll get part numbers when I get back home.

Lower hose is from Napa. Napa P/N 7196
Upper hose is a Gates p/n 22373

I'm about 2-3 weeks from completion! Car is running, was dyno tuned Wednesday, glass is in, just need to finalize some touch up painting, window trim, install the hood, and install the interior. The car ended up exceeding what I thought I could achieve in the beginning. Final assembly photos coming SOON!!!:excited:

ItDoRun 11-27-2015 11:00 PM

Here's a shot of the underside while it was on the rack at the exhaust shop.
