Looking good Jason (#9).
I'd like to know your definition of "a lot of progress"....... --Eric |
Nice work - as usual Jason!
Takes a lot of steak to be able to do work like that buddy! LOL Sweet -- just sweet workmanship.....the pride shows. |
Looks like it is inspected and sealed and ready to go.
Way to go #9.  That safe release is funny. I'm not sure you could even close the trunk with your big ass inside if you were paid money to. Well at least if Greg, Tony and Todd all got stuck at one time one of them could stand on the others shoulders and release the trunk to get to safety. Good thinking. :D :D |
Jason,
Loving the attention to detail, creativity and crafstmanship you're putting into your car. The photo's are impressive too! Keep it up. |

You can tell that your heart and soul are going into that masterpiece. Very nice

Jason,
That thing looks outragious, got a quick question for you, I noticed what appears to be a shim, I think, between your deck lid and hinge mount. Did the deck lid sit low in the opening before installing that. The reason I ask is my deck lid sits slightly high and Im wondering if maybe a different set of hinges might give me that adjustibility or if I machine the mounting pad on the hinge to drop it down. Thanks Rich |
Nice progress, gaps are a blast .......... not.........
I'm working on mine now and have a question. The trunk lid looks as though you closed the gap on the lid edge. Did you just add weld or us a rod and fill?  |
Jason,AMAZING!!. This car must go to head of the list for coolest PT car on Lateral-G.I really enjoy going back over this thread.Just amazing. Scott.

I wasn't totally sure and though it might be black delrin, I do have the rubber installed, but it sat proud before the rubber went in. Its not a lot, but enough to bug me. Any suggestions?
Thanks Rich |

So did you end up buying welding equip. and machinery to fab sheet metal to do it at your home? Or have you been just tinkering with cool trunk latches for the last year. You back to framing or still pushing panties, what ever it takes right. |

Geez, the guy buys a couple bottles of the "Gap" spray and everyone thinks he's the schizzle. Well, let's face it, you pretty much are--even with the Gap spray. Nicely executed brotha---as always--it's amazing to see the continued improvements and fab work you do---

As others have said, the pride really shows on this masterpiece. Watching the front part of the trans tunnel go toghether in your pictures was just incredible. One question - at one point you showed a panel that closed out the tunnel to the firewall, overlapping the tunnel. In the next picture, it was one smooth piece (after welding and grinding). Did you trace out the opening from underneith, cut the patch to fit, and then butt-weld it in? http://i370.photobucket.com/albums/o...C_00590848.jpg http://i370.photobucket.com/albums/o...C_00240886.jpg |

Jason,
My hat's off to you, your car is a work of art. Keep it up! |
If you have to take it to your local Chevrolet dealer for repairs while its still under warranty, I believe they will be very grateful... and impressed.
|
Wow Very nice. That looks awesome.
|
Exhaust and underside looks killer.
|
Outstanding
Jason, I understand if you don't to discuss cost, but I would be curious how much $$ approx in materials (no labor) for pipes, mufflers and clamps. I am going the cheap way for now on mine just to get the car on the road but someday I hope to do a 3" with v-bands. It seems an exhaust system can be in the price range of a set of three piece wheels :wow: |
Very impressive work but I have to say that no matter what the focus of the picture might happen to be, that transmission mount has me going back to to stare more than anything. :hail:
|
Do you have a link to those JCG exhaust hangers? I can't seem to find them.
|
RUFKM!!!!!!!! Jason keeps bringing it.....:wow:
|
Did you use a micrometer to space out your tack welds you annal F........
:wow: :wow: :wow: :hail: :hail: :hail:    Super sweet as usual and we expect nothing less from you! |
