Not necessarily fabrication, but pretty impressive. Hopefully these machines will be cheap enough one day for the average user to whip up parts on a whim.

Rad Rides is my favorite builder, and I been following this one since they first posted pics, and saw it here at Goodguys last year. I think it's going to be my new all-time fav hot rod. Can't believe they're making me like a Ferd this much!

Not the craziest picture, and not mine, is a friend's work, but whenever it pops up as my changing desktop background, it gets me fired up to go fabricate..

I'm totally going to build a car like that after I move out of my parent's house.

I know that this is no where near the caliber of the work that has been posted up in this thread. Its just what I have been building in my little garage, will be sweet when its done but im doing it myself and more function than form

Streamliner Build
From another thread here on the board - beautiful fab work. Streamliners are always nice custom projects to watch being built !

I wish I was a younger man -- I'd go to school (of hard knocks) and learn how to do this kind of work.

The fabrication in K.G. Special is amazing!
I spent a couple hours laying out and shaping this with a mallet and bag today and can't imagine the number of hours in that K.G. or the dollars invested in equipment. http://sieg.smugmug.com/Cars/69-Cama...IMAG2159-L.jpg A planishing hammer would nice sometimes. |
Or even a planishing hammer.....
 |
