don't have pics but the boyd coddington alum truck or aluma car i saw at barret jaxon auction was really cool finished in raw aluminum impressive for the time to me

ModernMuseum 12-20-2011 08:30 AM

Not necessarily fabrication, but pretty impressive. Hopefully these machines will be cheap enough one day for the average user to whip up parts on a whim.

Rad Rides is my favorite builder, and I been following this one since they first posted pics, and saw it here at Goodguys last year. I think it's going to be my new all-time fav hot rod. Can't believe they're making me like a Ferd this much!

Either you just watched the video on fast forward or your holding out on me and had seen the video before. How do you watch a 15 minute video in 2 minutes.

Not the craziest picture, and not mine, is a friend's work, but whenever it pops up as my changing desktop background, it gets me fired up to go fabricate..

I know that this is no where near the caliber of the work that has been posted up in this thread. Its just what I have been building in my little garage, will be sweet when its done but im doing it myself and more function than form

absolutely sick craftsmanship. I can do a little of that, but nothing that complex.

GregWeld 05-13-2012 06:36 PM

I wish I was a younger man -- I'd go to school (of hard knocks) and learn how to do this kind of work.

Sieg 05-13-2012 09:21 PM

The fabrication in K.G. Special is amazing!

I spent a couple hours laying out and shaping this with a mallet and bag today and can't imagine the number of hours in that K.G. or the dollars invested in equipment.
