canrc 03-29-2014 12:10 AM

Got everything wrapped up last week, intake turned out great, finally got the catch can setup installed, the fuel regulator was an absolute eyesore on the firewall before got the moved down and out of sight and the fuel lines were routed correctly now -- hopefully the good weather comes soon!!

Raj that turn out perfect. Now leave it alone!!:D

72Z/28 03-29-2014 06:28 AM

Looks outstanding Raj. Just wondering if you have any photos showing the new location of the fuel pressure regulator? Don't you think the fuel lines are very close to the headers after the rerouting work?

Raj, you're the man!! :king:

Thank you! The picture I have below is during the install, the regulator also has a removable shield that protects it from below which isn't installed in the picture.
The lines are all wrapped in DEI Fire Sleeve and are a little further away from where they were before (they had no heat shield on them before). I am allot happier with the way they are routed now, it was always a concern they way they were before

Thanks -- I know, I am slacking on the video front! hopefully I can get one when we go for a local cruise at the end of the month, I just have to ask Ryan (rybar) nicely!

Jr 08-04-2014 02:05 PM

Raj,

With the motor set back as far as it is, did you brace the motor in the rear, or did you just use the newly relocated engine stands?

Its just the relocated engine mounts with that a new crossmember had to be fabled up.

Thanks Wayne! Now the fuel system is being pulled hopefully for the last time! Changing my eliminator pump to the dual zl1's -- I want to be able to drive on long trips without any issues... also the other change is she's getting a Holley Dominator or the AEM Infinity ecu just trying to figure out which one!

frojoe 11-17-2014 10:29 AM

I just installed a Dominator setup in mine and the self-learning aspect is a total win.. mixed with full time wideband 02 closed-loop as well as wicked eboost control (haven't fiddled with it much yet) makes me really strongly recommend the Holley!

Thanks Joe -- I think after chatting with a few others, Holley is the way that I will be going.

waynieZ 11-17-2014 10:25 PM

It looks like a nice set up.

Not the video of me driving but got a quick one of it on the dyno with the Holley Dominator installed; results were 644hp and 660 ft lbs

frojoe 02-01-2015 12:25 PM

That sounds disgusting! So raunchy!!

Rybar 02-01-2015 02:30 PM

Nice one Raj. How does the system work does it require a tuner?

Ron in SoCal 02-01-2015 03:01 PM

Looks like the cameraman jumped behind the workbench on the first rev

Dave Pratt 02-01-2015 08:10 PM

Raj...that's fantastic! What a friggin beast! I was looking at your pics from somewhere and found a few of my old Orange 70 Roadrunner when we ran into each other driving through Maple Ridge...that car of yours is a beast!Nice work man...

Dave

canrc 02-01-2015 10:32 PM

Thanks Gents!

Ron you are right! a friend of the guy tuning was holding the camera and she moved over a bit when he jumped on it!

Ryan it was tuned by the guys over at Independent Speed -- the ECU does have a self tuning fuel table that simplifies the tuning and it learns the more you drive.

Justin@EntropyRad 02-02-2015 06:26 AM

Sounds mean for sure!

What else was in the shop when you were getting Dyno pulls?

They have a bunch of turbo cars in there -- they have everything from a couple of 1000+rwhp Supra's to a wide body corvette -- a pretty wide range of vehicles in there for sure.

waynieZ 02-02-2015 11:57 AM
