I have been buried in design work for the 58-64 Impala chassis. We hope to have a chassis mock up at Pleasanton next month.

Rodger

Rodger,

Is Ironworks doing the paint in-house?

Rybar 07-21-2011 12:04 PM

Any updates on Tyler's 50-50? I want to see that thing done sometime in my lifetime.

No sir. We use a couple guys all over California depending on desired results and of course budget.

We finally got some sheetmetal panels we ordered almost 8 months ago. So now I can put it back in rotation. I'm hoping to get it in the ground pretty soon. But not much of anything has happened on that project in a few months.

Rodger have you thought anymore about the weekend welding seminar you talked about few months ago?

I'm just trying to figure out a good time to do it. Oct or Dec would be good on my end.

bulldog19 07-21-2011 02:27 PM

Ok thanks.
October would probably be better for me. December is just to hectic with the holidays.

Here are some more pics of a 67 nova we have kept pretty quiet. We have been working on this car slowly but surely for a really nice customer of ours. It is pretty slick.

It was nice hangin out with you also. Glad to find another GIANT friend on this site. You, Me and Kenny need to hang out at SEMA with Shawn from EVOD wheels, That will be a Motley Crew. Oh and Dougie Fresh will fit in if he is "Game Sprayed" up. I could bring a few Giants from home for a hole football team if needed.

When are you going to Washington? I know Gordan is on a 2 week drive thru Canada and the North east. So maybe after that.

tones2SS 07-21-2011 05:35 PM

I'm digging that '67 Nova Rodger.

I guess you could pretty much talk smack to anybody at that point but you might feel a little short.

One of my local customers buddies brought his camaro that made a major set up change in his 2000 Camaro true 10.5 car. We are mounting some parts and doing some basic fab for the change. He went from a 726 cu in Sonny Leonard 5 stage nitrous engine to a destroked 588 with twin 104 turbo's on Alcohol. It ran 7.10's on nitrous and is looking to run high 6's. Oh and the engine has some crazy light weight short stroke crank that will spin to 10,200 RPM..... OH MY

CHECK IT OUT....

We are also getting some work done on our shop test car. This car is pretty coming together nicely. The stance on the 57's are BAD. The car has a 480 hp LS3 with a TKO-600 5 speed. It has some new wheels from Budnik. We bought and old stocker resto from a local guy. Pulled the body off the stock frame, we are currently Mini tubbing it and trying to get it together for SEMA. Nothing Fancy just a SUPER FUN CAR.

We have been running it in the auto cross and stuff. But my focus is our chassis development stuff for obvious reasons. I have thought about selling it but for now it just stays in the Hauler waiting for the next show.

The pictures of the camaro look good. What kind of seats are in the car? I can't wait to see the car in person.

The seats are Kirkey aluminum seats with their seats covers.

The car is cool but, But is not meant to be nice. It is 100% function. We only take it to shows with an Autocross. It will not be at Pleasanton. Chris Alston will have it for some Super Chevy shoot out the day after Pleasanton.

Well as weird as it sounds. I sold the C6-57 to a big time broker at the beginning of the year. He buys and sells more cars in a month then I will own in my life. He really only messes with exotic's. But he saw the post about my truck on EBAY of all places. He called me and put together a really good deal on my end to sell him the truck and for him to resell it at Barrent Jackson. Plus I get a percentage of the profits and I risk nothing. I already got paid. Apparently that organization is all about who you know. Pretty soon the truck was being hauled to Orange county to promote the Las Vegas auction and then spent a few weeks in Scottsdale getting pics and stuff ready to sell it at Las Vegas next month.

Well the pics they took were really nice and I thought I would just post them up in here for all to see. So next month watch for the truck on Speed TV. Apparently she is going to be a star. Plus I get one more round of marketing from this project before she goes off into the sunset.

I never really paid much attention to trucks until this one. Sounds like a win win for Ironworks!
