Nice. Keep us posted on these updates Ryan.

So I ended up having to re-build new tailpipes on my car, the ones I had were having too many issues. These new pipes are 2.5" into 3" tips routed around the G-Link, this is with mini-tubs and a stock width Ricks tank with no dog ears. The custom tailpipes were not cheap but should work alot better now.

Very nice Ryan!

Rybar 03-25-2013 12:29 PM

Then we got it off to the local Dyno shop www.efituning.ca and we did the initial dyno tune, I'm extremely happy with the numbers but there's more in it since we ran out of injector (36#) at 6300 rpm. This is on a Mustang MD-1100 Dyno as well. Just ordered *edit* 42# injectors and should be going back for a re-tune.

496.2 rwhp @ 6175 rpm & 468.7 rwtq @ 5061 rpm these are corrected #'s

Yeah Ryan - this car even looks good on a truck. Always liked this build. Very healthy numbers - I'm sure you can't wait to see what she will do with more fuel. Keep us posted!

The tailpipes are a nice finishing touch. Those HP/TQ numbers are impressive.

Yeah I am pretty happy Gregg, the TQ #'s are what concern me the most. I will keep you guys posted once we get the new injectors and and finalize it.

Yeah again, I'm happy. This 383 is essentially a couple more cubes than an LS3 and has cathedral port heads vs the newer square port so she makes some pretty good power as it sits. FYI: My trunk or tank is NOT notched.

Rear axle / tires

Ryan, What width rear axle did you end up with? what brand tires do you have? I have a DSE mini tub kit for my 69 and Qudralink kit for it I have had for a few years, I have fikse FM5s on it. 18x8 in the front and 18x9.5 in the rear. Can fikse rehoop the 9.5 to 12's? Looking at the picts of your Car have inspired me to get mine tubbed and get the Qudralink on. I have been working on the engine. I have a 2006 GTO 6.0 LS2 with a ProCharger DS1 on with a intercooler. I have been working on it for 7 years and I just got to drive it last sunday. Unreal!! Smokes the tires as long as you have it mashed!! All thru second and 3rd! Its a automatic. I have a factory 12 bolt in it now. But I have a 9" I can have narrowed. I have took my time and tried to buy the right stuff, It has all DSE front suspension some Hotchis, Rear leafs are Hotchis, CPP Quick streeing box BeCool radiator with dual fan its a pod I think Has hydroboost brakes on it, ECT!!, Has Caltracs on it now. But I think I'm going to mini tub it and put the Qudralink on it. Any information you can give me would be appreciated!! Thank's Tommy I'll post some picts on here. Its in primer right now!!!

Payton King 03-27-2013 08:23 AM

Nice numbers!

Have you had it out and driven it yet? Guessing the ground may be snow covered up there?

Tommy, yes Fikse can re-hoop your wheels I would contact them direct or one of the trusted vendors on this site.

As far as diff width, It is somewhere buried in my thread but take a look at this recent thread:

https://lateral-g.net/forums/showthread.php4?t=40138

I believe alot of guys run 54"-55" wide, 12" wide wheels with anywhere from 5"-6" BS depending on the lip you are looking for.

The tires I am running are Toyo R888

Your project sounds cool, you should post a thread with some pictures of it.

Not yet Payton, my buddy who has done all the work has driven it and he said it feels much stronger than before. Were still trying to fix a few other items and am waiting for the new injectors and final tune before I get it back.

Very nice numbers Ryan... HKE builds some quality stuff.

Re.

Thanks Ryan, I talked to fiske today they said the hoops were 275$ apiece amd 20$ for the hrdware. They said I could do it myself or send them to them. I have a stock with 12 bolt camaro rearend. that is 54" from backing plate to babking plate I
m not going to cut it. I'll find another that one is original . I'll try to read back through the form and see if I can find the wiidh. I'm fired up at looking at your car!!! Man that stance is awsome!!! And that fat look on the back: makes it all!!!!:G-Dub:

Lenie 03-27-2013 06:49 PM

Ryan, good numbers on the motor but man that car of your's looks sweet!

Flash68 03-27-2013 11:25 PM

Nice numbers. How much more power you expecting out of the larger injectors?

Bodies67 03-29-2013 05:00 AM

axle widith

I went back thu all the post looking for the axle width. I can;t find it. Can You check your paper work and see what it is? I done some Calculations and came up with 45" axle end mount to wheel to axle mount to wheel. Total width. I think this wrong. I think it should be. 55-52. With a 5.275 back space. stock width is 60" Thanks for any help you can give me. Tommy

usa-69z 05-15-2013 07:00 PM

Hey Ryan , olds thread i know but i was just curious about your front rim specs? My fikse are here and im in the middle of having my diff narrowed.. all good so far,,

I ordered my fronts with 4.75 b/s 345/40/18 and there virtually flat (no dish),, not diggin the look to much. I have speedtech front upper and lower A arms with coilovers..

could i have gotten more dish up front?

what are others running?

Rybar 08-05-2013 03:04 PM

Sorry for not updating this for a while, been busy last few months with a business move and house renos. As some of you saw in Raj's (Canrc) thread we got out for a little cruise this past weekend. New motor is running great. Finally opened up 3-4th gears and she's got some good top end.

As for the last few questions asked, I think my diff width was around 55" if I remember correctly, and Gav I'm not sure how to get more dish on the front wheels other than changing backspacing and rim half offsets. Or a wider shell? As for my dyno #'s the larger injectors did not net any more power than my original numbers posted from the new motor.

Here's a few pics from the cruise, you may have seen some in Raj's thread already. FYI Raj's car sounds insane, I hope he posts a video soon for you guys to hear.

Again, thanks very much that's a humbling comment on a home built car that's not anywhere near the calibre of most builds on this site.

Thanks man, glad your back and updating yours as well. I think we both completed our cars initial builds around the same time. Only makes sense to update them at the same time too.

Guys sorry have not been on the site alot lately I've been busy with many things and not much time to be on the site. This is one project I've been working on. I may start a thread on it. But it's the garage project at my new house. I ended doing a garage floor coating, garage cabinets and a 4-post lift. There was alot of legwork and other things that had to be done to make it all work and fit but it's finally done. And now I can let u guys know that I welcomed home my other car I'd been storing at my buddies house. It's a 99 30th Anniversary Trans Am, Ive always liked them and found this one. I've already done a host of mods including CNC 243 heads, EPS 222/226 Cam, Kooks LT Headers and True Dual exhaust, LS6 intake, TB, Full suspension, new brakes and clutch. etc etc. It made 425 rwhp and 412 rwtq on the same Mustang dyno my 69 was recently on. Anyways, on to the pics of my SW inspired garage :D
