Not true! I parked in the dirt in Lot T with Pozzi's and Prouty's!!

I said it because I meant it. I was genuinely impressed with the car.

Looks great Ed, did you get allot of interest in the car? I love builds like this, it is like Art.

Thanks, Joe

WSSix 10-18-2015 03:26 AM

Did you finally get everything dialed in on the car, Ed? Ever get that engine dynoed?

GregWeld 10-18-2015 10:45 AM

I think this car was sold to someone in BFE.... Ed may care to clarify. But I think it went overseas.

Yes it was sold. Heard for triple digis

Ed.Capen 10-19-2015 06:55 AM

Yes guys, it went to Japan right after SEMA last year.

I did not even get to drive it over about ten miles. The fun was building it and listening to all the comments good or bad. It was a love or hate type car but the build was fun and I got to work with some very talented guys on the build. It has been done now so that was the cool factor for me and Brian the guy who dreamed it up over 10 years ago.

I am one to build unusual things when they come up and after the 66 Mustang Fastback I have another one coming along.

Starhauler!!!

jarhead 10-19-2015 07:20 AM

The StarHauler is going to be cool!

WSSix 10-19-2015 10:14 AM

Well, dang. I was really hoping to see the Nomaro completed and some performance results. At the same time, that's really awesome that you sold the car, Ed. Congrats.

I think the StarHauler looks great! What is it a blend of? Star Chief and a Chevy?

1transam 10-19-2015 10:42 AM

I Love This Car!

Trey,
It is a 66 Ford F100 and a 1960 Ford Starliner.

As you can see the back is all filled in and it has a extra large trunk area. It has been in progress for years but I put it on the back burner for about 8 years. it has a 429 BB Ford.

I may start the build on this once I get it moving again. Ed

glassman 10-19-2015 07:33 PM

Any progress on the 69'? do tell, do tell...

Swain 10-19-2015 10:15 PM

I'd put a Jucuzzi tub out back

Kcrain 10-20-2015 12:12 AM

Mustang

We need updated or finished pictures of the mustang. Keith

Thanks Ed. Obviously, I don't know my Fords very well. It's a really cool idea. Love the paint scheme you're going with on the outside. Please keep the engine gold and chrome. Wow! Does that look good. Will the trunk area remain open like a bed?

Ed.Capen 02-25-2016 06:54 PM

The NOMARO now rests in a museum in Japan for everyone over there to see AMERICAN MUSCLE!!

WSSix 02-26-2016 06:10 AM

Great looking car. Kind of a bummer that it's on the other side of the world now but at least we have these nice pictures to look at.

Swain 02-26-2016 10:05 AM

Awesome who bought it?

syborg tt 02-26-2016 04:41 PM

That's pretty cool.

Jason,
It was a guy at SEMA from Japan and it went through a broker.

Pure Vision on Facebook is giving hat's off to you!
Thought that was cool of them.

Re: Joe Rogens Nova.

Friends and I have laughed several times at Strope.... “I’m the first one to ever do this.....”

Yeah — sure you are.

alex n 01-29-2019 08:01 PM

Steve Stropes car is significantly better. Much better body lines. I do respect the tremendous amount of metal work that went into this car but it just isn’t that pretty. Sorry but that’s my opinion

FaBrycation 01-30-2019 11:21 AM

yeah... Ed killied it on this build! best looking 69 nova I've ever seen.....lol:headspin:

Greg - He definitely is his own #1 fan!

Ketzer 01-30-2019 12:22 PM

I have a third Gen Nova so my opinion is extremely biased... I like'm just like they are! :D

I read the FB post acknowledging Ed's car as the first... "forgot" he saw it until his version was done and someone reminded him? That's sarcasm, right? An inside joke...?

Jeff-

I can see how he forgot about it.... they actually look nothing alike. :headscratch:

WSSix 01-30-2019 03:57 PM

So I've seen Joe Rogan's Nova, but I'm not sure how this has anything to do with Nomaro. Could someone clue me in?

Strope proudly announced on his TV show (which I enjoy btw) that no one had ever put 69 Camaro fenders on a third Gen Nova.... yes, they are styled completely different...but the core idea I think would be the same? As long as Ed isnt offended and Joe is happy, win win!

I love to take bits and pieces from other designs and work them into my cars!

In fairness to Steve, this seems to be the Velocity, now Motortrend writers/producers. Nearly every show claims to the "first to ever do this" Which in most cases is hilarious.. since they are bolting in a kit from a 3rd party :D

WSSix 01-31-2019 05:29 PM

Thanks Jeff. I had to take a second peek to see it honestly. I guess I just missed it the first time. It's a good look. I'd say Ed and Nomaro are definitely different though. Both great cars. Love the work Pure Vision does regardless of if they're the first or best.
