Thank you for all the comments! Fun idle clip. I need to get one with some throttle blips. This thing winds up fast and sounds so nasty!

Chad,

That SB4 could rearrange your life’s priorities!

:thankyou:

Love the sound! What mufflers did you use?

Hooker Blackheart system for DSE equipped cars. I was concerned if I would like the sound but so far they sound good with this motor. A few connections customized like the header collector connections (Ultimate header extreme low profile clamps) then entire system is Jet Hot coated. Custom headers of course.

Very nice exhaust system. Looks killer....thanks for the pics. I also have the Ultimate Header extreme low profile clamps.

LOL We literally sliced and diced it so it didn't matter to me. You can't really call it an Anvil bumper any longer I guess. Page 12 & 16 will give you some idea of what we did.

Excellent!

Thanks Chad, I’ll check those pages out.

I really like the spoiler as well...and the lower height than stock is very cool imho.

Thanks. The spoiler is from Kindigit.

I always had that design in mind from the time we did the rendering. We were going to make one but then I was watching Bitchin' Rides and they used a 3d plotter on a '68 Camaro they did as they designed/produced a spoiler exactly what I had envisioned. A lot less money to purchase or have him reproduce one than custom build as I had intended. I emailed Dave and after a few email exchanges one showed up in CF. Now they sell them.

They sell it as one piece for bolt on but it created gaps that just didn't work for me but probably fine for most. We extended the trunk lip to take up all the gaps. Anyhow that's how we ended up with a three piece spoiler. Keeping in line with the theme of cutting up carbon fiber parts. LOL Page 18 btw Don't tell Dave I cut up his spoiler. :)

fleet 10-06-2020 11:08 AM

Chad,

Great story.

But if you take it to the next SEMA, Kindig may have some questions for you.

:D

214Chevy 10-06-2020 02:03 PM

I have the Kindig it spoiler too and thought that's what you had until I saw a 3-piece spoiler and thought otherwise. Nonetheless, it looks better that way in the 3 pieces. I really like that idea. It looks killer. Wish I had thought of that.

Blacktech Project hood. We have to repaint the SS grill inserts along with other final punchlist stuff.

Great question....they are the reason we are going to Detroit Autorama where they can showcase their talent. I have some surprises left of what we are doing to finish the car. It heads to interior in a few days then back to the shop for the flush glass, punch list and the finishing touches.

Brett Schmenski and his father Rick(semi-retired) of Mountain Home Street Rods. Brett did the body work and paint. What you are seeing too is just a rough buff where some areas need to be wet sanded a bit more and some areas haven't been wet sanded at all. We had to rush a bit at the end to meet our interior shops' window. I would put their paint and bodywork against anyone in the business. It is so straight...just amazed. They did a phenomenal job.

Cjfirstgen, the car looks great how was the fit on the hood? Mine is being made now. Seeing how nice yours looks makes me even more excited to get mine.

cjfirstgen 10-20-2020 06:53 AM

Interior has begun....excited to see that come together. Here is a sneak peek into the door cards and center console. Shift handle isn't exact and we are extending the console to the rear seat but you get the idea.

Recaro Sportster GT seats. They are a bit tall for the 1st gen IMO which is why we cut the headrest down and reshaped about 1.5".

Yes from The Shop. Package tray as well but we are modifying it. All stripped and re-wrapped in leather.

Ahhh, that explains it. I was wondering why one headrest seemed shorter and wider than than the other. Very nice...I like it.

Seats turned out great. Tape is protecting the leather wrapped sides.

We have been focused on keeping the weight down by using lightweight materials when possible. Back side of the armrest routed.

Thanks. You are not kidding. We really tried to keep the track car theme but also not go too utilitarian or modern by keeping some of the classic '69 Camaro features.

I'd say you're nailing it with the blend of modern and original. Very nice.
