Looks fantastic Lenie...honestly, your patience and attention to detail is what I admire most...I am struggling on the patience part right now on my build. :willy:

Thanks Dave, it's not that I'm not working on the car, it's everything I do seems to take me forever to complete. My first build in this direction. Thanks again.

waynieZ 06-11-2011 10:31 AM

I hope for your sake the way it looks you'll be done way ahead of me!

Thanks Wayne, appreciate the comment. I've been a little frustrated lately so I'm taking measures to try and get it completed by April. Keeping the fingers crossed. One day we'll have to cruise together.

Thanks Ron, I'm kinda going after that nasty look. Pics aren't very good but I like the way it's starting to turn out. I'm at a point where I'm needing some help completing and have checked out a couple of different places but really wanted to stay close so I can keep up on it and possibly help out so I could get some on the job training:unibrow: It couldn't have worked out better for me as I ended up meeting w/a fellow member who not only works for the same employer but lives about 3 miles away and was willing to help me take it on. I've admired his work and his get er' done additude and believe I'll have the car ready to go before spring, really looking forward to it. I've been trying to get the car moved to his place for the last three days but my buddy who owns a 28' enclosed trailer has been sick and it sits so low I really don't want a towing company involved. Keeping my fingers crossed for tomorrow. Looks like I need to step up and purchase an enclosed trailer.

War 10-25-2011 05:15 PM

Nice job on the car. Looks like your alot closer than spring.

That would be cool, hoping you're right but my lack of knowledge seems to alway win over and slow me down:lol: Thanks

Got the idea from Michaels car at Prodigy Customs. A friend of mine named Mark Naglich cut the door out, made a template of the shelby cap and welded it back in one inch recessed. Turned out pretty cool I think but had to go to a 68 camaro bumper to make it work which I like also. Thanks

nickcornilsen 10-26-2011 12:52 PM

Amazing build! I love the look of the Pontiac F-bodies.

Where in the NW are you?

killer67 10-26-2011 09:32 PM

I like what you're doing here Lenie! Where is exhaust going to exit?

Exhaust???? Uh oh, I knew there was something I missed:_paranoid Seriously though, I dunno?

Flash68 10-26-2011 11:21 PM

That rear shot looks great!

Who needs exhaust out the rear? Just dump it. :D

Lenie 11-17-2011 11:37 PM

Bought an xfactor crossmember and really like it. Gave me about 3/4" more clearance for exhaust and my driveline is now at the correct angle.

This car is ridiculous!!! :hail: :hail:

I keep going back to the beginning and starting over and get new ideas for my own junk...

I'm stealing some of your ideas....just telling you that now.

Thanks Dave, we're moving right along w/the car now. Multi tasking. Seems like the little brown truck has been showing up daily at my door step lately(Vintage air accessories, March excessories, power steering line kits, DSE wiper motor, NuRelic electric windows, Dakota digital VHX guages, shockwaves and airpod, AAW kit, Optima battery/holder and more) life is good:D Will most likely be purchasing a set of wheels on Black Friday, tough decision when it comes to wheels as there are other choices I'm interested in also especially local supporting vendors but hard to pass up 20% off deal!:wow:
Thanks again

KPC67 11-20-2011 10:13 AM

Nice car! I like that cross member

Thanks, good fit. Here's a link to their website. Design has change from the pic on their website to what I have.

Thanks Lenie, I edited my post because I googled it, it looks like a nice piece.
It has to be if it is on your car! great job:thumbsup:

Lenie 12-13-2011 07:29 PM

Little update, shockwaves are in(tight fit, had to manufacture a few special brackets to make it work), side glass/nurelics power window equipment and all associated pieces are in (what a nightmare as my xbody guy left us w/a few surprises). Driveline is in (and Todd if you're reading, I now have the correct driveline angle:yes: ) All brake/fuel lines are completed. Vintage air lines all installed, March power steering reservoir and associated lines installed, my Dakota digital vhx guages/American auto wire kit have arrived and ready to install and I ordered a set of Forgelines(at the end of the day, I just couldn't turn down the Black Friday discount). So I guess I'll have a set of Budnik Tillers/Michelin pilot sports package up for sale along with a set of coilovers here shortly. Been moving right along on the car here lately as I have a good person helping me. Two front seats have also been upholstered and ready to go.

Vegas69 12-13-2011 08:50 PM

Lenie, what did you end up with from driveline, drive shaft, and pinion angle. You going to drive that thing this century? :unibrow:

Tom.A 12-13-2011 08:55 PM

Looks good Lenie. Not sure what Forgeline you went with but I am sure they should look sweet. Did you stay with 17" or move 18"?
