16" Slicks? Nice. Are those the same ones that Stagnaro uses? Does that require a change in brakes? Lastly, why the change?

I have run on Hoosier and Goodyear radials and they have their benefits and drawbacks. They both work great with cooler track temps. The slip angles are not nearly what the 16" bias ply slicks are. The slicks work amazing when temps are over 70+ degrees. When 90 degrees, they are a world apart. The car was built with running the 16" in mind. That is why the rotors are 12".
