Yes, er... welcome to July 2012 Chief. :D

I was asking myself the same question? Huh?

I would have some updates if it wasn't so dang cold ... maybe got up to 21 degrees and still snowing.... spring is a long way off :popcorn2:

It was above

freezing so I had to get out to the garage! Ok, barely above freezing but still .... had to get something done on the Camaro. Blasted winter and the snow!!!

Anyway, working on my outerwheel houses, roughed in and pretty close ... just need to trim and weld em together. The mod will give me 3 1/2 inches above the outer wheel lip .... which may be more than I have travel but just in case she's good!

This mod is more work than I thought :EmoteClueless: to get it dead nuts .... first one is always the hardest, other side should take less time!

Think I'll trim the lip 1/2 inch to get around 14 3/4 inches at 12 o'clock on the opening .... should be plenty for 315's or 335's.

Thanks for looking .....

BirthDay Present

to me!! Had to try it out today, so I added to my sculpture. :ups: Delivered my Millermatic 141 today, just so happens that Travis (snappytravis) was down from WY looking at the Camaro, (Good meeting you Travis!) the UPS truck showed up minutes before Travis.

Anyway .... easy to setup, I used the Auto Set to weld some 3/16, 16 ga, and just for grins I tried some 1/4 .... not enough amps for 1/4", rated at 3/16" max. I will get my wheel house welded in here shortly ...

Here's some porn ...

This clamp isn't gonna cut it ... I'll replace it w a beefier one!

Easy setup, really like the drive roller push and rotate to change! Now I have to get a larger cart ... doesn't fit this one too good!!!

1/4" for grins!

Welded both sides to get penetration .... marginal at 1/4"

Been busy with my school work, man its kicking my ace, only 3 weeks left to this session :relax: and then I can work on the Camaro full time!!!

Thanks for looking ....

Very nice but didn't you just weld your DSE subframe brackets together in the last 2 photos ?

So very nice!

If you need to do 1/4" you'll just have to remember to bevel the pieces first.
