Thanks.
I've been looking on Craig's list for some rollers for when they do the paint and body work. I saw these BMW 7 series close to home and figured they could be used then sold when I'm done with them. ( They may have antique status by then. ) I brought one in and tried it on for size. It fit right on and barely cleared the Z51 brakes. I had to knock the weights off. They'll work fine and look stylish doing it. LOL !

Not much progress this week, we had to move the remote oil filter because of my mistake. The fitting for the oil cooler stuck out further than I remembered and the mount had no room for the fitting. we made a bracket to mount it on the front bar Mike installed to replace the smaller front cross member on the sub frame, then made a bracket for the intercooler pump. I have no welder so everything has to go to Spaceman's house to be welded. There's more room than appears to be.

(Heavy little sucker)

Brackets will be cleaned up and either painted or powder coated.

I picked up some air tools for the garage to make this easier.

A MATCO TOOLS MT4880 .75HP STRAIGHT DIE GRINDER .

A MATCO TOOLS (MT2883) .50 HP Variable-Speed Right Angle Die Grinder .

All used but in great shape.

I also got the spacers I needed to put the BMW wheels on the back so now I'm all set for rollers to move the car. with my rear width I used 2" spacers.

Looking good Wayne...
Little by little. Good to see wheels on it.
Nice choice of small hand tools, they will come in handy.
One thing to add to the die grinder is several carbide grinding burrs, you will find them very handy for opening up little areas. :weld:

Thanks, I forgot to mention I got 6different ones (Straight tip, round tip, cone, and Christmas tree in different diameters) I got double cut, not sure if I made a mistake. When your not used to them they can really bite in.

Wayne ... looking good! Must not be too cold there yet, it's been down right cold here!

Question: I see your remote oil filter mounted and all, are you gonna install valves inline so you can check the filter without dumping all the oil?

Michael

Chief I hadn't thought about when I change the oil, I'll be checking on that tomorrow. I think a valve would be the best so as not to reduce flow.

Thanks.
