I won't really know until I'm out there Monday Trey - but my guess is --- they pushed it. The shop is on Harolds ranch -- so they're probably just out back of the shop buildings.

It's so close to paint - and the motor was taken out a while ago to go over to Don Hardy's place for a little "upgrading". LOL No real point in putting it back in and then taking it all apart for painting....

I let the shop and Don Jr pick the motor colors..... So I haven't seen that part either. Probably something Charley hates.

Good call Nessy! But I don't think I want it to be a rat rod thing, as much as I love those builds. Had we started out to build it "raw" or Rat look that would be different build - I'd have had them do the body PERFECT - and then clear it... but it was always intended to be painted..... and while the metal work is stellar... it was meant to be covered.

I had a '51 Chevy P/U for Alex.... I was going to build that rat rod style for him to tool around L.A in..... but I gave it to my Sister/Brother in Law (you know Rudy) when I got sick and sold the shop and all my tools.... Too late now - I barely own a crescent wrench these days.

Wow! Very nicely done!!

The front may be sitting a little bit low for me for a "mountain truck daily driver" but then again, Greg's mountain roads are probably a little bit different than any mountain roads I've driven on. ;)

Personally I can't wait to see it painted.

I love the way it sits. Those are beautiful pictures they took. I love it !

Greg, you should make sure that Charley likes the colors. That way he’ll give you top dollar when you sell it to him, after he nags you about it for a couple years.
I love this Greg. Stance, fitment, attention to detail, etc.

Worked on a few things out at the shop today -- and saw a few things 'completed' and in real life for the first time.

Remember I'm not building a show vehicle -- the goal is daily driver - long road tripper - but I also like the process and don't intend to just have a stock looking truck....

So -- the cab is so stinking small.... and with the huge by large McIntosh amps behind the seat - and the battery and some electrical under the seat as well as a couple 6" subs under there..... I needed a place to put things.... In a pickup - that's in the back... but I want to have Gwen put her purse in there - or if I'm going shooting I need secure space and blah blah blah.

I asked them to get a Knack toolbox and cut it down and make it look like an old trunk. It will get all painted up and will have leather "straps" and big buckles etc. Right now - it looks a bit "coffinish".... but will look like a trunk when we're through with it. And it's KNACK TOUGH! And locking. It was sectioned so the whole thing is below the bed rail -- and a tonneau cover goes over all of it. We came up with a trick way to build a tonneau cover framework today -- you'll see later -- but there will be no snaps or anything else like that.

Here's how the chevy taillights got mounted.....

A little "bed rail detail" -- closing up the otherwise open "rolled edge"

The exhaust with electric cut outs - it gets "dumped" at the rear.... not turned out as shown.
