Price

Hi there everyone,

Im from Ireland, i was wondering what the average price of one these G-machines is? I know this is a very broad question, so ill narrow it down by selectin a certain Car, which i love; Charlie Lillard's Camaro , The Mule.

This is souly an equirery as i am very keen on muscle cars, and adore these G-machines?

Regards Chris

I am not the person to answer these questions...but the mule is a "special" car. You are looking well over $100,000 for a build like that. Charley can tune in. But people on this site have all sorts of budget. That is what you need to do. Set a budget and try your best to stick with it....but that wont happen! ;)

The Mule is worth alot more that an exact clone of the car.Either way your well north of 100k IMO.

I will say the price of these are going up every day. To build and what they bring vs. 2-3 years ago. Their is alot more products that are available, that are not cheap, which keep elevating the next car and so on. I would say the average good car with the bells and whistles is 100K - 500K.

Doesn't help much, just alot of variables. The awesome CUDA at SEMA was way over 500K.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Tim

Thankyou Tim, that is a good eye opener, I love the Mule and it is very special, I say Well done to charley. You can see the attention to detail and how well put together the car is.

Ok, well i had a budget of $50,000, would that be enough to modernise a Classic Camaro (69 RS for example) in to a nice car, dosnt have to be a show winner or even a show car just a fun car?

Regards Chris.

I think the $50K number is possible...especially if your doing the majority of the work yourself...that's my opinion...

It also helps if the car your starting with is in great shape...

thanks

About half a year ago i almost bought a 3rd gen Camaro, for £3000, which is about 5000-6000 USD. But what im holding out for is a 69 RS. One problem i will need to rob a bank to afford it, but i know eventually i will find the car for me. hell im only 18 ive years to raise money and to build a great car. the only thing is i want a camaro so bad for the last 4 years, well cant wait be one if not the only classic Camaro owner in ireland.

Well thanks lads for the help much appreciated Chris.

A starter car in great shape is 15 K atleast, and might need paint, etc. You also have to factor in your own personal time if you do it yourself, that costs something.

For me personally it always works out to double what I thought it would cost, I'm kinda stupid though.

The Blue 69' you see on my web page about 5 or 6 years ago we bought that car for 15,000............and it was a royal peice of S$!* we had to put floors in it and wheel houses....after 3 years working on it we got it done and got to enjoy it for a summer and a guy at a good-guys show just had to have it he was drooling all over it......so we sold it....then a year later he turned around and sold it for 65,000$ !!!!!!!!!!!!! The car was mostly origanal except disc brakes and 17" wheels..........hmmmmmmm crazy!
