yea i dont like that too but that wheel design has NO lip what so ever.

mdprovee 07-13-2007 01:47 PM

It's just my opinion, but don't like them.

But most importantly do what you like.

skatinjay27 07-13-2007 03:38 PM

I ran 17 x 9 ws6 wheels on my 80 TA for several years and they have about the same lips as the Z06 replicas you are looking at. I like the Z06 wheels you've picked and looked at them as well when I was going to get new wheels.

If you need the adaptors to make the BS work, I can make you a good deal on mine if they will work for you.

Leadfoot1 07-17-2007 08:37 PM

700$ w/ tires??? A used wheel deal? If you're on a budget i'd get them! They look good, VERY good at that price! Of course, the adaptor factor could ruin all that ($!) But it seems you may have a solution right here ^^^^^^.

Keep us posted.

I like 'em and for the price I LOVE 'EM!!! Do it!!!

They really look like a Forgeline's Sp3P,

http://www.forgeline.com/wheels/sp3p.html

At a much better price tough. Just change the centercaps if you need to get rid of the "budget" feeling lol  , who will know the diff? ;)

Is that your actual car too?

Lead.

it does have a spoiler, its the lower one. it is just the angle of the picture.

Vegas69 07-20-2007 08:47 AM

It looks good with those wheels Jay.

ProTouring442 07-21-2007 03:29 AM

I like it with those wheels... they look tough, but not out of place. With the vinyl top, I think a polished wheel might look out of place. You could polish the lip if you wanted to though, but not the whole wheel in my opinion. I'd say go for it! Oh, it seems I already did! :D

Any of the C6 wheels will do....

I just bought a set of the standard C6's, polished, with front tires for $400... Got a set of rear F1's for free, just needed to pay shipping.

Please stay away from any wheels with studs on them... That sh*t went out about the same time flames did....

ibdmann 07-21-2007 06:18 AM

i think those are c-6 z06 rims

QSPres 07-21-2007 11:45 AM

Yes, they are. Probably aftermarket ones, but the real ones can be had for just a bit more if you look......and if you can fit them.....

yes they are after market but gm does offer the comp gray now. the problem is that the real one s are sized 19x12 with a +79 ofset, and that would be alot of spacer!!! the size im gonna get are 18x8.5 +56 18x9.5 +54.

ibdmann 07-30-2007 05:48 AM

i've got those rims on the back of my tubbed 69 with a stock width rear and you only need about 3/4 inch spacer
