Well that is my car. I guess the block of wood and sledgehammer trick worked!! I could not be happier with the quality of Prodigy's work. AND Frank delivered the car on time as promised.

I smell a "Sledgehammer and Wood Block Combo" group purchase.

Patrick,
Your car looks awesome!!

AAW 07-20-2007 08:01 AM

That's hilarious, Frank.

will any kind of wood will work for that, or do i need to find something specific:lol:

ProdigyCustoms 07-20-2007 09:39 PM

Pressure treated Guardrail shims work the best! And I have found a 10LB sledge is best, 12lb is too heavy!

I still love it when the whole car jumps, LOL!

Poor Matt, the bodyman in the video has never seen this done but was at wits end trying to make it fit before he came to me for "the assist". He was really worried, I am not sure if it was about damage to the fender, or watching a sledge come at him, ROFLMAO!

Don't worry Matt, you have workers comp!

I have the same problem, man I was getting frustrated...looks like im off to home depot...just cant figure out who's going to hold the block of wood:_paranoid

TA219 07-21-2007 11:24 AM

ha ha!!! that is hilarious, i put the video up for my wife to see, i told her i am going to need someone to hold the wood for me  I was actually just using this technique for my ill fitting deck lid the other day, worked like a charm
