Thank you. The body is going to stay mostly stock as far as the crome, stainless moldings and all of the emblems. And Im keeping the hood bird. We replaced the firewall. At some point someone beat it in with a hammer. The inside of the car has been changed quite a bit. I got rid of the heater controles and ashtray and added some a/c vent and a center console. I will post some more pics of the inside and firewall. Thanks again

Thanks, the seats are out of a 2005 GTO. The car was wrecked on a transport truck so the seats are still new. I found them on Ebay. I'll post some better pics of them.

Thanks, your right I can't wait to see it on the frame. It shouldn't be much longer. Both your cars look awsome. Good luck with them

Im using the single louver slider series from vintage air and the Phipps oval vents in the dash. We are also using a double louver slyder series from vintage air in the back that's going to come out of the back of the center console. I will add a pic of my uncles 55. Its similar to what we are doing in my car. Its not the best picture but you can see the two side vents and ovals are on both sides of the radio.

Here is the frame after we painted it. The frame rails have all been smoothed out to clean up the factory welds.

I don't at this time. We only set the seats in the car to measure for the center console, but I will post some pics later as things get finished. Hopefully soon.

We used the original wheel tubs and cut them in half and widened them three and a half inches.

jy211 11-07-2007 06:20 AM

That's how I was thinking of doing mine as well...with the 3 1/2" what guage steel did you use?
