Thanks guys. vinz68 I'm north of you in CT.

vinz68 08-26-2007 06:36 AM

Your just a ferry ride away. My car is still in Maine at Jake's Rod Shop. It should be back this week. So what's under the hood?

BigVin 08-26-2007 08:57 AM

Funny story the short block is out of a 92 caprice Cheshire cop car, the same people who are trying to catch me speeding. It's a 350 with alum. heads mild cam, msd, holley,4l60E, it's nothing special. This car does get me where I want to go. I will try to post pictures later.

Nice, I did a 4l80e with a paddle shifter from twistmachine:D

BigVin 08-26-2007 10:06 AM

What did you use for a crossmember. Paddle shifter coming soon. How do you like the paddle shifter and what kind of steering wheel do you have.

vinz68 08-26-2007 10:48 AM

Jake had to do some fabricate my original to make it work. I haven't driven mine yet but I've driven both a 4l60e and a 4l80e with a paddle shifter and both work very well. I have a Sparco wheel and one of the other car's has a momo.http://img105.imageshack.us/img105/7...f000418lz1.jpg

BigVin 08-26-2007 03:16 PM

vinz68 that is a great way to do the crossmember. Do you like the feel of the Shrifter and the Sparco

vinz68 08-26-2007 06:15 PM

Thank's Vin, the spaco and the shrifter work very well with each other. But momo makes some nice wheels. It's gonna be a hard choice!

Steve Chryssos 08-27-2007 06:24 PM

Both wheel brands are great. Both are hand made by little old italian men in Italy, but Momo offers a much wider selection. You will want a 350mm wheel (about 14")

BigVin 08-28-2007 03:14 AM

I'm a little old Italian man.

Steve Chryssos 08-28-2007 06:50 AM

Excellent! Awesome car. Love the wheels, stance, driving lights--everything.
