Cartoon artwork *Gulbranson's Camaro finished*

Hey to everyone!

I'm a new one here. My hobby has been making cartoon artwork from different cars with Photoshop. Since I'm a big fan of muscle cas and specially modified ones I'd like to ask if you guys have high-res pics of your cars? 1280x960 or greater would be nice.
I'm very interested in Rupp's orange Camaro. Looks so bad-ass
But everyone elses modified car is just as good.

Here are some samples of my previous artwork:

That's too small to be tooned, sorry mate. I already got one pic from Gulbranson himself, I'll send some work.in.progress pics here when I'm making some progress with it.

Twin_Turbo 05-30-2005 01:26 AM

Could you "toon" a pic for me and could I then use it in a website?

Here's the pic..i think it's large enough :)

Tulikettu 05-30-2005 02:09 AM

I'll see what I can do. I have to toon Gulbranson's Camaro first. But maybe after it I'll toon your Corvette. And the pic is large enough and in perfect angle :)

Tulikettu 05-30-2005 05:27 AM

Here's an early preview of Gulbranson's Camaro. I've done a huge progress with it according to that I've used only couple of hours to it.

Lines seems to be quite ready now. Next part is to color the whole thing.

I think the tires need to be wider.... :unibrow:

69rs 06-01-2005 05:32 AM

Looking good! Scott didn't give you a pic with the RS front end?

T Bell 06-01-2005 07:24 AM

wow, I need to send you a pic of a car like mine so I can get just an outline. It would be great to be able to print it out and cut and paste wheels or add stripes or something. Hmmmm.

Tulikettu 06-01-2005 07:25 AM

No, he said that he didn't had a finished pic where that RS grill would be. But I think that SS grill is very nice too.

Does the RS grill have covered lights when lights are off or what's the difference between those two grills?

Yes, that is the major difference between the two grills....

Tulikettu 06-28-2005 04:26 AM

I thought I'd drop a line here since it's been quite long since my last visit. I just wanted you to know that I haven't forget about this.
The Camaro is coming along slowly but surely and the most important, nicely :)
Those rims are going to be one pain in the ass but I do my best.

C ya later again

No, that's EXTREMELY cool. You're very talented! I hope you'll do one for my car when I have it completed.

camcojb 06-28-2005 01:36 PM

I am interested in two for my shops when you get to the point that you're accepting new work.

907rs 06-28-2005 01:48 PM

Do you need an existing picture to do this, or could you do one up free-hand?

Kris Horton 06-28-2005 04:19 PM

I believe he'd need an existing photograph. The one he's doing right now is a tooned version of this photograph: https://lateral-g.net/gulbranson/...ics/redone.jpg

Very nice work, gotta love photoshop!

That was a vey commendable gesture, Kris.

Tulikettu 06-29-2005 12:32 AM

Yes I need an existing pic of the car like Kris said

I was actually looking Mecom Racer's '63 GS Vette yesterday. Because that kind of non-original cars are so RARE it would be very nice to toon one of those. So yes I can do it.

And then I'd like to do that Cobra if you still have it camcojb? But of course if you like me to toon some other of your cars then I'll toon it but that Cobra would be my favourite for the same reason like that Vette, it's pretty rare.

But there's that Twin_Turbos Vette too but it's looking very hard to toon. That chromed engine is like a nightmare to me :P

So I'm looking forward to the '63 Vette and one of camcojb's cars.

And thanks for all your positive comments guys

camcojb 06-29-2005 07:39 AM

I do not have the Cobra anymore, but wouldn't mind having a drawing done of it. Problem is I wasn't much into camera work when I had it (sorry Scott!) so I don't have much as far as complete car shots. There's a few on my site, but only one I see that's a decent size and angle of the whole car. If usable you can hopefully eliminate the background! This was a pic of it being loaded up for the new owner.

Unless you want to try an engine shot!

Tulikettu 06-29-2005 07:47 AM

That Cobra pic would be really good. If you just have the bigger version of it.
If you do could you upload it to www.imageshack.com and send it to me via PM so I can check it out?

Sorry, I don't. I also have a bad habit of converting all my photos to 640X480 for ease of posting on the web, and copy over the original pic in my computer with the new size, thus eliminating it.

I'll look around for a larger version, but I doubt I have it.

YES! Hey, thanks. Now I have another reason to get the car done as soon as possible. I really like the racing pose of the first image you have in this post. That would be a perfect pose for the Grand Sport. How can I get in touch with you? What's you real name?

Tulikettu 06-29-2005 12:03 PM

If you don't live in Finland then I think the only sensible way to get in touch with me is via PM's :D
Of course instant messenger is one way too.
My MSN address is [email protected]

I don't use instant messenger so that's out. We can PM through this website though. I just don't want to lose track of you. That MSN e-mail address will work!

The Camaro is finally ready now. I'm very happy how it looks now.

It sure does! I'm sure Scott will be stoked to see it; he should be back online later today or tomorrow.

Tulikettu 07-10-2005 02:29 AM

Thanks guys. I hope Scott won't go mad because I removed the radio antenna and the outer thin stripes out of the bonnet :_paranoid

XcYZ 07-10-2005 07:06 AM

I think it looks great!

Mecom Racer 07-10-2005 08:14 AM

Simply incredible!
