3 piece wheel choices - 20 x 12's in the rear

New here... These are for my dad's 70 Challenger build w/c5 suspension...

Baer brakes on order (6S calipers, two piece rotors), time to choose the right wheel.

Forgeline & Enkreuz are two of the companies my dad is considering...

after looking at the web site, I'm pretty sure he has looked into DPE wheels as well. The sales rep at America's said they have a bad rap for customer service or something.

My dad works for a street rod builder in Portland and is able to get deals on some things, but buying them direct or through a distributor will work also....

slownova 10-01-2007 02:03 PM

Asanti..:)

Nice project. That Challenger looks sick and 19s and 20x12s will look so nasty on there!

Like Travis said, I have come out with a line of wheels and will have 3 piece available in all styles. I'll drop you a PM and maybe we can get something together.

He talked with John @ Driverz Inc about your wheel designs recently.....

The gap between internet forum boards and good ole' fashioned telephone conversations is closing :willy:

tjbruning 10-01-2007 09:24 PM

I Forged is at the top of the list so far.... Talked to the rep today...
http://img471.imageshack.us/img471/5391/iforged1nr9.jpg

Need to rule the others out that are at the top of the list. Forgeline, DPE, & Enkreuz. I will post up once the 6 month wheel ordeal is over. Will do some more checking on these companies before ruling them out.

Asanti's are nice but too much bling for this particular build I guess.

Thanks for the input-

DriverzInc 10-02-2007 09:07 AM

I think the Rushforth Wheel in the "Concept 2" would be nice. We'll have the three piece line ready to go very soon.

Forgeline is a nice, high quality wheel as well, and would be my other suggestion for a nice wheel. We are Forgeline dealers. Let your day know we can handle it, regardless of wheel brand he decides on.

Or, if he has any questions, he can call again.

 thanks, but no thanks....

ProdigyCustoms 10-02-2007 07:23 PM

No wheel company sells a better wheel then Forgeline, and no wheel company has a better value on a top quality wheel then Forgeline. No wheel company has the customer service of Forgeline. No wheel company gets wheels out a quickly as Forgeline. And no reseller has better service and deals on Forgeline then Prodigy Customs. Just do a search for Forgeline on this forum and see what name keeps poping up. We delivered 3 sets of Forgelines and tires to forum members this week.

HRBS 10-03-2007 05:23 AM

Hey Frank.. I PM'd you a week or so ago about some Forgelines with no response... did you get it ?

syborg tt 10-03-2007 06:06 AM

Okay i don't want to rain on the Forgeline parade here. But this car deserves something different.

Seems everyone has Forgeline wheels there starting to be like the old crager wheels - everybody has them.

ps - that naked cartwheel thing really has me worried

Over hear, directional wheels went out of style years ago.

tjbruning 10-03-2007 09:05 AM

way too many spokes....

If you look at the pictures that I posted at the beginning of the thread, you will notice a theme.....

Thank you for your suggestions, but you obviously have very different tastes in wheels.....

tjbruning 10-03-2007 09:07 AM

HRBS 10-03-2007 10:30 AM

Hey Jon....
Can you get a Forgeline PREMIERE SERIES in a custom width ?
They list 13" as the widest standard available width.
I am looking to get a 20x16 (or 20x15).
Thanks

TravisB 10-03-2007 10:41 AM

I just talked to Scott at Forgeline, and YES, they can do up to a 20x16. Backspace will be the key, as they have the ability to only do so much given the availability of rim halves. What kind of spacing are you needing, or are we building a rear to fit the application? I have all the specs on what rim halves they have in stock, and can work with, so lets talk.

el-camino 10-03-2007 11:26 AM

20x16 ???

Steve,
The SP3P is nice, do you want polished, or powder coated? Call when you can, the Forgeline wheel is a very nice high end wheel.
(But I think Prodigy Customs already made that very clear)

HRBS 10-03-2007 01:05 PM

tj40ounce - sorry for hijacking the thread !
