Here is the new supercharger hat

Ok, I have the hat now in the car. I'm hoping this should help do the trick. We are also adding a cool water injection kit, and a J&S knock sensor ignition system.

The second pic is where the tank is going to go. In the trunk.

Hey Mike good luck with it. I really hope it works out for you.

Jason said he was going to talk with CAR about your install so mine might go a little easier.

Keep us updated on your progress.

Mike, get that hat. Well let me give you the results first, and then you may want to get this hat. After a bunch of research, the procharger hat is junk. Ill post changes and the dyno results and give you the info on it, since you have the same thing. I don't want you going though what I have been though. The water injection and or some kind of cooling for the air intake are going to be critical. Also we are doing a custom knock sensor that will regulate each cylinder for detonation, therefore retarding each cylinder individualy and not all of them at once which will kill power. Have J talk to Kevin about this. Give them a few weeks to have it done and have dyno results. Ill post before and after.

Mike good luck, glad you are sticking with it. Once tuned your ride will be fun as hell with the torque of the blower

Thanks Mike, but I am running a Holey Stealth Ram Fuel Injection, so no carb. Hopefully wont run into to trouble.

Let us know how it all rings out.

Cool, it that should work better for you.
Let me know how it goes. Where are you on the progress?

are you just going with the water injection and not Snow performances water/methanol one? Have a look at their stuff if it isn't too late. It has a myriad of benefits over just water injection.

I believe it is from Snow. It's the $750 kit. I'm not to sure about it, but Kevin who is on vacation this week might be able to pipe in when he gets back. The kit I'm getting is pretty cool though, and I have really checked into the water injection stuff and found tons of benefits to it.

Mike,

The car is in paint right now. Eddie is painting it. Suppose to be painted by the end of Nov.

Sooooooo you'll have it by the end of December then. :unibrow:
You have any photos of the car?

AllSpeedAndy 10-20-2007 02:19 PM

What kind of tuning problems are you having?

I see you put a cross over on the fuel bulls...to equallize them...
is your boost refferance to the regulator before or after the carb?
I could not tell in the pic...

If you like the Snow kit you need to check out the DevilsOwn kit. The company that I work for (Easy Performance) makes the DevilsOwn controller. It is similar in function to the Snow unit except that ours is all digital vs. the Snow unit which is analog. I think I saw the DevilsOwn kit on Ebay for $305. You can get them in 2,2.5, or 3 bar. Also the Vast Performance kit uses our controller. They are a new customer to us, so I don't know enough about them to recommend someone to them yet.

The kit is made by Coolingmist, it's the trunk mount version. It looks trick. The tuning issues we had were the boost temps and lack of timing. Now the issue is the J&S system. It should be sorted out soon though.

I'm hoping I don't have too. I'm pulling myself out of debt with some high paying yobs. I'm cautiously optimistic right now.
