Thanks, but the link doesn't work. What is the prefered way to strip a car down to bare metal?
|
Media blasting is not a bad way to go, you just have to make sure you get all the media out of the car. I stripped my GTO down to bare metal my self and it was a pain in the ass.

Remember if you dip you need to pull the lead and replace.

Melman-
I had my body media blasted by a company in Riverside called Advanced Finishing. I think I paid about $500.00 and they did it in a day. They are right at the 91/215/60 Fwy merge. Phone (951) 788-1847. The price will vary if you want the under carriage or fire wall etc. I have seen the many posts of pro and cons but media blast seemed like the choice for me. I would use them again, but I don't speak Spanish so we had some confusion on what was to be done, so if I use them next time I will try and point better:lol: |
Tom - what all did they strip for $500? Just curious.
