Thanks a lot, I really appreciate it. I actually stay in Phoenix now but I was born and raised in So. Cal and my car still resides there.

Do some checking on here ,team camaro or pro-touring and you will find alot about how Bad soda blasting is!
Paint manufactures won't warranty anything that was soda blasted!!
I will try and find the link and post it.

Thanks, but the link doesn't work. What is the prefered way to strip a car down to bare metal?

COYBILT 10-18-2007 06:57 AM

Media blasting is not a bad way to go, you just have to make sure you get all the media out of the car. I stripped my GTO down to bare metal my self and it was a pain in the ass.

Remember if you dip you need to pull the lead and replace.

My boss had a nomad dipped and the lead stayed. He was told he would need to relead because the dip effects the lead. I thought he said if removes the tin, Not sure.

Melman-

I had my body media blasted by a company in Riverside called Advanced Finishing. I think I paid about $500.00 and they did it in a day. They are right at the 91/215/60 Fwy merge. Phone (951) 788-1847. The price will vary if you want the under carriage or fire wall etc.
I have seen the many posts of pro and cons but media blast seemed like the choice for me.

I would use them again, but I don't speak Spanish so we had some confusion on what was to be done, so if I use them next time I will try and point better:lol:

They stripped body and jams. I did not do under the car or inside the car. The original front group was trash but I don't think it would have been much more if I wanted to stripped. I just plan to bed liner the bottom so I was not worried about it being done.
