Carbon Fiber hood arrived today

After a bit of a wait, the carbon fiber hood arrived today. It's an amazing piece, there's just no way to capture it with a camera.

I'll be taking it to Autokraft on Monday so Kurt can do the fit up of the front clip. More pics to follow.

Sweet!! Is that the same hood thats on the Mule?

Whats the ETA on paint being finished now? Ready for some Spring driving?

XcYZ 10-19-2007 04:02 PM

Same hood as the Red Witch.

Kurt thinks that he will have color on the car in early December.

Nice!!

You would think that after spending the last 5.5 yrs. building my car I would have had time to get all the neet parts, not the case! First Franks inner fenders and now this...I guess this industry/hobby is growing so quickly you just can't 'keep up'!!

novanutcase 10-19-2007 07:17 PM

Wish they made them for 2nd gen Novas!:(

BC69 10-20-2007 12:21 PM

19lbs!! The hinges and bolts holding it on the car might weigh more!

Good use of the bathroom scale!

rocketman 10-20-2007 01:07 PM

I would like to have one for my 10.5 camaro, they do a taller cowl thou, like a 6inch? Need to check them out.

MODO Innovations 10-20-2007 01:27 PM

19 lbs. That is just crazy. Imagine if we all had an unlimited budget, how light would the car be if the body was all CF?:willy:

JamesJ 10-20-2007 06:55 PM

How much does a real one way? any real numbers?

mazspeed 10-20-2007 10:27 PM

Scott, is that the same scale that tells you that you're 180 pounds? :D

You might want a second weigh in.

XcYZ 10-21-2007 07:59 AM

lol, I wish!

Rick Dorion 10-21-2007 03:50 PM

Ricochet 10-21-2007 07:23 PM

Looks awesome Scott!! As if your car wasn't going to be bad ass to begin with? Just one more thing that will take it over the edge!
